Unless you want to get kicked out for no reason, do not come here, we got kicked out for an open bottle, the claim was crown Royale....none of us even bought crown Royale and they kicked us out while we where outside, just because one of your patrons before us had crown Royale and left at our table does not mean we did it, not even asking if it was ours, not even coming up and telling us to our face was completely disrespectful, at a time when local business should be a big part of our daily lives, the idea that I'm so disgusted by one of them is completely sad and unpatriotic, it's disappointing to have to tell this story to others, but I felt it my civic responsibility to let anyone know when they come to this pub this is what they cosign on. Stopped in because of the new dog-friendly tables on the patio. Outside space is welcoming and the beer was great on a hot summer night. The food unfortunately was not good, and expensive. The cauliflower bites and zucchini sticks were over-fried and mostly batter: four tiny pieces of cauliflower and four sticks of zucchini - maybe $2 food cost if made from scratch, for $14. My friend’s butter chicken poutine looked and tasted like it had been microwaved to melt the cheese and our friend with a dairy allergy received a wrap with cheese on it after ordering no cheese and informing the server of the allergy (In fairness, the server caught that error as she brought out the wrap). Had an excellent experience here. The bartender was super chill and very friendly. The dining area was clean and had a very cool vibe to the space. I had the Quarterway burger with jalapeños and onion rings, I really enjoyed that they used real cheddar on the burger. Not a thin amount either, a healthy portion of genuine Canadian cheddar. The onion rings were similar to the kind you can get at Dairy Queen, I've personally have had some pretty bad onion rings at bars in my time but I like the ones at DQ and I like the ones here. The best complement I can give is to sat that normally I have leftovers to take home, even at my favorite restaurants, but here I scarfed down every last portion without hesitation. Totally recommend.
