I'm nobody's mother. Idk a mother. I only know that I have one Shepherd and he knows my name ,& he is tenderly caring for me for I am HIS CHILD HIS OWN Loving child. Awful sandwich I wouldn't feed that to my dog. Waited forever for an underwhelming experience. It was like a McDonalds cheeseburger but with extra terrible sauce seeping through the bread and making it instantly soggy. There was so much sauce the sandwich just about turned into a soup! Waste of money and time. Loud leprechaun music played on a loop the entire time! The smell of old people stench throughout the entire place. Ordered a house sandwich was told the kitchen didn't like to change it when I asked to change the bread. Are you serious ! I'm a paying customer. Tell your kitchen to grow up you're in the restaurant business. If a customer wants different bread then they should get it ! Not be turned away with a comment of "our kitchen dont like change requests to the signature menu items" it's a sandwich for heavens sake! I'd give lower than...

So the GF and I were on a bit of a road trip and while in Nelson BC. were walking around looking for a decent place to eat. The GF spotted the yellow deli and instantly wanted to try it out as it was such a cool and neat little place. I had to agree it was a neat place and had a nice energy about it. We shared a sandwich and bowl of chili with a couple virgin drinks. Food was great and the service was good also. It was a very pleasant experience and reasonably priced. We definitely liked the experience and so here I am giving a good review as it was deserved. We later went back for some treats but have not ate them yet. I think any of the 1 star ratings are probably from competitors or maybe some people just have nothing nice to say. I would recommend this place to anyone...

Adorable little resto tucked on a hill in downtown Nelson. The restaurant is part of a commune (some refer to it as a cult); they own a few farms that fuel the restaurants. Everything was home grown, homemade and you could tell was made with live. They have a limited menu daily and sandwiches seemed to be what they were known for. The staff were friendly and happy to discuss the farms in each community. Worth a trip for a true small town experience

We stumbled upon this beautiful place while walking around Nelson and it has to be one of the culinary highlights of our trip. The ambiance inside is stunning and unbelievably cozy. The staff was super friendly and the blueberry banana smoothie, the chicken sandwich and the cinnamon roll we got were all excellent. You can definitely tell there's love and care involved in every aspect of the Yellow Deli. Definitely recommend!

We've been here twice now and both times the food has been excellent, the service friendly, and the atmosphere relaxing. We sat outside with our dog, enjoying the multiple levels under the maple trees, but the inside is also really cool. We'll always stop here when passing through Nelson, and will look up the other locations too (Courtenay and Chilliwack) now that we know they exist.
