This business has the worst customer service and management staff that I have ever had the misfortune of encountering. Two days ago I arrived at the store to pick up my order of a 18" pizza and a 12" garlic fingers with bacon. Upon arriving I stood waiting for approximately 10-15 minutes while the gentleman at the counter took 3 pizza orders on the phone before serving me, both cooks standinf around doing nothing. After finally getting our order we arrived home to find out that the garlic fingers didn't have the bacon on them, even though we were charged for them. I politely called the store back to tell them, and was told by the rude staff member that they couldn't do anything for me at the time but that they would leave a note for the manager to call me back, alternatively I could drive 20 minutes back to return the garlic finger. So instead I awaited the manager's call. The next day she didn't call me back so I called them back to see what the deal was. The supervisor informed me that he was incapable of giving me a refund and therefore I would have to call back the following day to talk to the manager. This is where it gets interesting. I call back the next day. The manager finally informs me that she could give me a "credit" for the missing bacon... For a grand total of 1 dollar and change! BUT I could use that 1 dollar credit towards ANYTHING I wanted on my next purchase... Oh thank god. After proceeding to tell the lady that I wanted a refund for the garlic finger, and that I would not be returning to the store to offer any more of my business, she promptly refused my request for the refund and told me that "we're done talking", and hung up in my face. I didn't think a refund for their mistake and horrible customer service was such an impossible request... But apparently that's the type of business they run at Minglers. Not to mention every time you go there the price is different (possibly adding their own "tip" to the bill before you pay?). I for one, will no longer be giving my business to Mingler's restaurant because any operation that does not take accountability for their mistakes, nor value their customers, is not a local business that I would...
Read moreMy boyfriend and I decided to try their wing night. It was an instant regret.
Their options for wings are VERY limited. Honey garlic, bbq, hot, dry, southern fried. I'm not sure I've ever been anywhere to have wings that didn't have a "mild" option. We quickly looked at the menu since we weren't having wings anymore. We wished we wouldn't have ordered drinks because we would have just left and gone elsewhere. My bf ended up ordering a donair and asked for 6 honey garlic wings with it. He was told no, because they only come in 10 or 20 counts. Ok, but you just missed out on an extra 6 dollars... He had to settle 3 different times on beer because they didn't have anything for options other than super generic stuff. Then they brought him a can of beer with a dirty glass... Oof.
I asked for more time to order because I had no idea what to have. When the waitress came back to take my order, I asked about their combo app platter. I asked if I could substitute the cauliflower for some deep fried pickles and she said no. I was even willing to pay extra. She then proceeded to tell me that they weren't "that bad". Way to sell me on them. Yikes At that point I just ordered deep fried pickles because I could tell how annoyed the waitress was getting.
My bfs donair came, he said it was maybe a 4/10. By the time he was done his dinner, my deep fried pickles came. They were mediocre at best. At that point, we both couldn't wait to get out of there, so I ate as fast as I could, we paid and left. Needless to say, we will never be back.
However, if you're going to the take out side for pizza, you won't be sorry. Best pizza around. Weird that the restaurant would be so awful.
After thought; When have restaurants become so comfortable saying no to their customers? After Covid hit, the restaurant industry has been trying to get back on their feet. One way that's not going to work, is saying no to reasonable requests/questions your customers may have. Wouldn't it make more sense to make your customer happy so they keep coming back? That 30, 40, 50 etc dollars they spend that one day they're there could turn into much more if they keep...
Read moreThe food is mediocre at best. If one is intoxicated and there is nothing else open, sure, it will do the job (barely). Pizzas are typically so thin you'd need to eat 2-3 times as much to reach the same level of fulfillment you would achieve at say, grecos, pizza twice, or elsewhere. The pizzas are usually burnt to the point that the douch more resembles a hockey puck than anything else. The sandwiches are typically just slapped together, ingredients with no care to spread the ingredients around the bread at all. The chicken dishes are either too dry and salty, slimy as hell or flat out undercooked.
The staff have an arrogance that leaves much to be desired, especially the phone staff.
Prices on everything on the menu is absolutely disgusting (they advise prices include an automatic 15% gratuity, seems they are aware of their piss poor customer service and are trying to skirt around the problem by doing this).
Overall, the "experience" of this restaurant is one that I will not be partaking in ever again, and will be advising anyone who asks me about it, to go elsewhere.
This is a "restaurant" that tries to do it all, and by attempting this, in fact fails at...
