Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen — Restaurant in New Brunswick

I've never had Popeye's, so when the opportunity presented itself, I figured I'd stop in. This location shares a building with a Petro Canada gas station and convenience store. It was raining on the day we visited so I can overlook the dirty floors. It wasn't that bad. The tables needed to be wiped down, though. Service was polite and quick. Within ten minutes from ordering, our meals were ready. I ordered the 3 piece (spicy) combo which came with fries, a biscuit (which they forgot to put in my box), and a drink. Though I preferred the chicken over another big chain fried chicken restaurant, everything was super greasy. The chicken was still crispy but it was just too greasy. The fries were greasy and soggy. The only thing that wasn't greasy was the biscuit. It was the driest biscuit I've ever had. My meal cost me just under $20. That's what a person should expect to pay at these types of fast-food restaurants. Everyone had something different and they said the same thing. It tasted okay but was really greasy. I would like to try other items on their menu but I probably won't. That much grease upset a couple stomachs for the rest of the trip. This Popeyes served us good food but did so begrudgingly. We did come in close to close, but there was still a full 30 minutes left. They had essentially nothing ready to go but the very friendly and kind server said it was no problem, to order what we wanted and it would be made, we would just have to wait, which was fine with us. We ordered 3 original sandwiches and some boneless wings, and a few pies. And started waiting. A different employee, a girl with a facial piercing, came up and asked if we would take a blackened chicken on one the sandwiches (no breading) and we said no, we wanted the breaded. She proceeded to tell us she’s fighting with the cooks to drop it but “they might not.” While we continued to wait another couple came in and tried to order a four piece, the friendly girl said no problem, the other one said “they’re not gonna cook that.” Another man came in and she looked at him and said “if you’re looking to order, we only have tenders.” Food was good but the place was not welcoming at all. Ordered a 10 pc value meal tonight to give it a try for the first time in Woodstock. It had 5 thighs, 3 legs and 2 wings in the box when we got home 45 mins away.

Weird chicken if it has 5 thighs - lol.... Should always be 2 of every piece (wings, ribs, thighs, legs) a center and then a 10 pc random. Leg or wing usual. ...staff cannot be trained obviously or too busy to care.

Very disappointing seeing I spent $50 2 get two wings and legs (I don't care for thighs unless cooked different)

Looked at my receipt and there was no phone number to call and complain, and no number online to call! Poor service my experience.

Will say the batter on the wing and leg was tasty, and the rice and beans were delicious. Wife and son...
