Best Western Plus Woodstock Hotel & Conference Centre — Hotel in Woodstock

This venue was perfect! The hall was large and elegant, with plenty of space for large or small weddings. Wonderful location, close to everything needed and the Staff is INCREDIBLE! We planned this event from out of province, which posed its own set of obstacles. Getting married on our family property close by was extremely important to our daughter, and finding the perfect venue for the reception was not an easy task! However, when we found the Best Western Plus in Woodstock New Brunswick, we felt like we hit the jackpot!! Plenty of rooms for our guests, a Prescott room for the groomsmen to get ready and to hang out in after the wedding, an AMAZING CHEF, a honeymoon suite for the wedding night and it was close to our family property… Checks all the boxes! Perfect! What we didn’t know at the time, was that they completely undersold their extraordinary staff, and event coordinator, Jennifer! Once we made our first call, we knew, not only was this the perfect place, but after meeting Jennifer, we felt like we had just been handpicked and delivered a real live “Wedding HERO” and this was not her first rodeo! She was an encyclopedia of wedding knowledge! She knew who to call, what to do, when to do it, and where to get it. There are not enough words to describe the number of emotions felt when planning a wedding for your only daughter. Sometimes things get a little crazy, Jennifer was our calm. She was the voice of reason, the person we bounced ideas off of and on top of it all, her and her staff also made us feel very welcomed, like we were all family. The personal touches that Jennifer made happen for us, we will never be forgotten. We couldn’t have done any of it without her help and guidance. Truly an amazing human with a gigantic heart! The chef accommodated all our dietary needs including preparing a Spirit plate to offer to our Ancestors as part of our indigenous blessings before the meal. The food was off the HOOK! I can’t say enough about the Chef who prepared our savory and delicious meal. Fresh Atlantic Salmon, maple glazed, accompanied by seasoned vegetables and roasted garlic mashed potatoes, was prepared to perfection! Followed by a mountain of freshly prepared baked goods to finish of the perfect meal! We just wanted to post this review so that anyone looking for a wedding venue would know just how amazing this place is. Once you make that first phone call, you will know. Absolutely digested by the young girl at the front desk. This is not the 1st time we have encountered a situation with this girl. We finally found out her name is Tamara & I thought something definitely needs to be said as she wreaks of booze & cigarette smoke each time we have encountered her but this time I'm furious. I over looked this issue last time we stayed as well as her extremely unprofessional attitude I thought it's time to speak up. My mother in law also called to inquire about a stay & she had to hang up on her due to her attitude. If it was not for the other young lady who was there & she said she was new & apologized for the behavior we would have left. The new girl I think she said her name was Carrie i apologize if I got her name wrong sorry but again she said she was new she had glasses & her hair up. Very fun & bubbly young lady but extremly professional at the same time. Carrie was the girl originally speaking to my mother in law on the phone then the other girl interrupted that call took over & had extremely bad attitude with my mother in law to the point she told her she did not appreciate her rudeness & tone & that she would like to speak with the original girl she was talking to. Only to be told she's new she doesn't have all the answers well that's when my mother in law hung up. Never again will we stay but I have to say TY to Carrie for the professionalism in handling the situation privately plus ordering us our cabs & food. This young lady is the type of person who should be representing your company she went above & beyond to make sure we we were happy not the other young girl ( Tamara ) who clearly is in no condition to be representing your company much less working while under the influence but as for Carrie sure she might be new but taking over is not the way for some1 to learn. If we can notice there's an issue with this girl I'm sure other's can to. Great job to Carrie u definitely made our stay a better 1. Good luck with your new job. You're definitely an asset.

Pro's...Nice hotel...Great rooms &...

I travel frequently for business and had high hopes for the Best Western Plus Woodstock Hotel & Conference Centre. Unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. I had booked a room for a specific day but found myself running late and needed to change my reservation to the next day. When I reached out for assistance, the front desk staff was unhelpful, insisting I speak with the booking agent. After doing so, I learned that while they could change the reservation, I would be charged a $199 penalty. This was outrageous! Why would I pay a penalty for a change that was beyond my control?

The lack of customer service was shocking. Instead of accommodating my request and potentially gaining a loyal customer, they chose to stick to their short-sighted policies. Check-in was painfully slow, handled by what appeared to be a trainee who had little understanding of the hotel’s services.

Additionally, when I requested a late check-out, they wanted to charge me an extra $50 after 11 AM, which I’ve never encountered at any other hotel, especially as a rewards member. I tried to reach the reception from my room multiple times, but the call just rang until I received a message saying, “sorry, call can’t go through.”

On a positive note, the hotel is well-located, in good condition, and offers a decent breakfast with spacious rooms. But with terrible customer service and a money-first mentality, I won’t be returning. There are plenty of other hotels that prioritize guest needs and provide the hospitality experience one...
