Osmow's Shawarma — Restaurant in New Tecumseth

I’ve been a customer here for almost 2 years and it really hurts me to have to write this. As time has gone on the food has gotten worse and the owners have become unreasonable stingy. I am a long time, die-hard, Osmows fan as I have been eating Osmows for 5 years now. I always come to this location and there are a few problems that are really crucial to address since I will never come back to this location. First of all, this is the only Osmows location where the chicken is tough and feels like well done steak, and where the rice is even more tough to the point where they feel undercooked. Also, the garlic sauce is very pasty unlike every other Osmows where it is creamy. However, the worst part is how stingy the person operating this restaurant is. Whenever I go to here I always order extra garlic sauce, however, my meal is always dry and left unbearably spicy since there is not enough garlic sauce to balance the hot sauce that I order. Inconsistent portion size.

It is hit or miss every time I go there if you’re gonna get a proper serving size or a mediocre serving size .

If the owner is working behind the counter, expect to get 2/3 of the takeout container. Other times one of the staff will properly fill the takeout container to a reasonable fill for the price. Today, was an absolute joke, the associate barely filled the to go takeout container half way (literally half a serving). And had to be reminded to add more. Even my friend who ordered a OzBox was seriously dissatisfied. Barely any salad and a half serving of chicken on the rocks. Our meals were nearly 20$ each, for that I expected “a meal”. I will have to start taking my service elsewhere unless some consistency and value for money becomes standard.

Other locations have been great, this one is obviously run on a nickel and dime mentality

In the past ive also caught the cashier adding extra charges to the order (extra garlic sauce 0.85$) even though I denied wanting it. Didn’t catch it until i looked at my receipt. And definitely did not even get the “extra”...

I walked in to blaring music from a flashy black PA speaker and a blaring tv. I tried to call my son to get his order but I couldn't hear him due to the competing sounds. I had to ask him to text me his order. Once I had his text, I tried to place his order and mine, but could neither hear nor understand the lady serving me. After the fourth attempt to communicate, we got our order started. I guess it was the guy cooking who was playing the music so he could hear it under the fans, but man! I have my usual order at the Osmos in Rexdale where the portion is huge and if you prder it spicy hot, it is very spicey! Here it was barely warm, not hot at all. The meat tasted dry and the toppings were sparse. It was the most underwhelming meal I have ever had at an Osmos. For just under $50, I got 2 swarma wraps, 2 cokes and some fries.
