My family and I had breakfast at the Cedar Kitchen this morning, and were happy that they could accommodate our large group of 9 adults and 2 babies. (We did call ahead before going, which I would recommend to groups larger than 6).

Positives: The staff are efficient, the prices are fair, and portions are perfect. Some of my family members really enjoyed the Eggs Benedict, Pig's in a Blanket, and sausages.

Negative: I ordered strawberry-filled crepes. I have had crepes many times before, at other restaurants, so I knew what I was ordering. What I got were rubbery, thin omelettes with strawberries wrapped inside of them burrito-style and whipped cream on top. The texture was terrible, and they tasted nothing like crepes- just egg. I was planning to send them back and order pancakes instead, but my brother offered to switch plates with me. He didn't eat much of them. When I went to pay, I told the owner about my crepes, and her response was, "oh, you don't like them eggy"? I replied, "No, I don't, because that's not how crepes should be. I've had them before". I feel like she was half listening to me, and she made no offer to discount my bill. I was disappointed in her lack of interest in...

Sherri and her colleagues saved our Sunday and redeemed our view of Tottenham's treatment of visitors.

She and the other servers welcomed us warmly, letting us know there may be up to a 30-minute wait, as they had a busy morning and inquired how many in our party. (Something that the staff at Simcoe Railway could learn to avoid the frustration and ill will generated for more than 200 others, who had met with the frustration and disappointment we had experienced of being told tickets were sold out for the Simcoe Railway AFTER more than a 2-1/2 hour wait in line following a 1-1/2 hour drive to get there at 9 a.m., rather than doing a tally of how many seats would be required by those waiting at 9, which would have already exceeded availability before others continued to arrive and join the line).

Sherri called us in after perhaps 5 or 10 minutes wait at most. The service was equally prompt, courteous and friendly. Bottomless coffees by whichever server was passing our table and frequent checks to see whether we were happy with our orders and needed anything else.

The food was good value for the cost and the customer service and attention...

We visited The Cedar Kitchen in Tottenham this past Sunday and had an absolutely amazing experience! Even though there was a short line, we were seated in under 10 minutes. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming from the start, setting the tone for a great meal.

The menu was awesome — lots of tempting choices — but we decided on the Eggs Benny special and the salmon version. We asked our lovely waitress if she could split them so we’d each get one of each, and to have the English muffins extra toasted and flipped upside down. She happily made it happen, and when the plates arrived, everything was perfect !

The food was delicious, beautifully presented, and exactly how we ordered it. It’s rare to find a place that nails the little details like that. They even kindly removed the $2 service charge from our bill without us asking — a small gesture that really showed their care for customer satisfaction.

This place will not disappoint. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a friendly atmosphere, great service, and a...

Me and my family at the last minute decided to come here and we are all glad that we did. I got the eggs benedict and it was very good. The bacon on it was perfectly done and the eggs were very good quality. The hot chocolate was also amazing and very milky and chocolatey which I liked. My dad got the breakfast poutine and he gave it an 8 out of 10 and the cheese curds were amazing. My mom got the Canadian breakfast and she gave it an 8.5 out of 10. She loved the peameal bacon and how much they gave her as well as the gluten-free toast. Overall, everything was very good but the one thing that I wished for was a bit more Hollandaise sauce on my eggs benedict. The service was great and our waiter was super nice. The food probably took about 5 minutes to come which was awesome considering it was pretty busy. The atmosphere was very cozy and had a train theme which I thought was funny in a cute way. 😂 I'd recommend coming here for sure and I'd highly recommend the breakfast poutine! ☀️
