Genuinely some of the best food and service I’ve ever had, as well as such a nice atmosphere. Like the fries were SO GOOD. I only ate a sandwich but it was still a great sandwich. The server was incredibly helpful, hardworking, and kind as well. Sadly I didn’t catch their name but it was whoever was working July 14th 2024 at 11am. They were so incredible, kept checking on us and making sure we were good, and were very quick to bring food and drinks after we ordered it even with all the up and down from us being in the basement. Even gave me a great tip of adding vanilla to my matcha latte which was delicious. There were three rooms that we saw to set up in and play, two larger rooms with at least 6 tables seating 4-6 people and one smaller room with two bigger tables seating up to 6-8 people each I would say? The decorations were gorgeous and it was fun finding mangas my friend and I recognized on the manga wall on the stairs leading to the basement. There was a wide variety of boardgames, some of which I’d never seen before, ranging from family friendly to not family friendly, short and long games, and simple and harder games. There’s some arcade games in the basement as well, and a video game section upstairs but I did not check that out. There was a small shop as well, which sold cute plushes, dice, books, a few games, and more. All in all it was a great experience and my friends and I intend to come back again. It’s a great place for boardgame lovers to meet up and play some new or old favourite games!

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Goblin and Goblets, and I was blown away by the amazing combination of a board game store and a restaurant. The staff at Goblin and Goblets are incredibly friendly and passionate about their offerings, whether it be games or food. The board game selection is fantastic, with a wide variety of games for all ages and skill levels. The staff are knowledgeable and always happy to recommend a game that fits your interests and preferences. The store is also well-stocked with a range of gaming accessories and supplies. The restaurant is equally impressive, with a cozy and inviting atmosphere and a delicious menu that is sure to satisfy. The food is expertly prepared and presented, and the menu features a range of options to suit all tastes and dietary needs. I particularly enjoyed the unique cocktails and craft beers on offer, which perfectly complemented my meal. The combination of a board game store and a restaurant is truly unique and creates an incredible atmosphere. Whether you're looking for a fun night out with friends or a family-friendly dining experience, Goblin and Goblets has it all. Overall, I highly recommend Goblin and Goblets to anyone looking for a unique and memorable dining and gaming experience. Thank you, Goblin and Goblets, for providing such an amazing and enjoyable experience!

I can't say enough good things about Goblets & Goblins. The atmosphere is every geek/nerd's dream, and even if you don't vibe with that, it's still welcoming for anyone of any age. Their music choice is also top notch - from The All American Rejects to the Lion King soundtrack - it's all head boppin' goodness! On top of being a board game cafe/restaurant with a great selection of games, their food is actually delicious with big portion sizes and fair pricing. My personal faves - the chicken sandwich, smash burger and fried cheese curds. My bf's faves - unicorn milkshake and poutine. Fun local sodas with interesting flavours too! The staff are always incredibly friendly and make you feel like you're amongst friends. Don't sleep on their events either. They're planned out and thoughtful, and great fun for anyone. We personally went for all 3 LOTR trivia nights and had a blast. Perfect balance of challenging and fun! There are lots of events suitable for anyone, from competitive puzzle nights to DnD camps. It's a great way to get the community together. This is me and my boyfriend's go-to on chill dates for delicious food and a good time. (Photos from 2 different visits, the pot pie, Lembas bread and cocktails were LOTR night exclusive). In my dreams, their Lembas bread would be available regularly!

*Edit: I felt the need to edit and update my review following a recent drop in quality of service. My family and I have been to Goblets and Goblins about 4 times before and had great times. But hopefully our recent visit was an off day and not a sign of things to come.

The wait for our food to arrive following our order was an hour. This was not a peak busy time, it was a Sunday afternoon. The food itself was okay, the biggest notable change food wise was the fries seemed to have changed, which was disappointing (I talked those up to few people).

I myself had also had the Nashville hot chicken sandwich with the highest level of hot sauce, which was presented as a challenge of some sort. The sandwich itself was alright. There was talk of free ice cream for finishing it with a certain time. But no one checked in on us to verify anything, so I never got any. A chef did come out to see how it was, which was appreciated.

Im pretty easy to please, I don’t expect to be waited on at all times and coddled. I’m leaving my original rating and review below but it does feel like things have changed in such a short period of time that I hope it reaches the right person to avoid any further degradation. My family and I had lunch at Goblets and Goblins and it was a fantastic experience. The staff was very friendly, helpful, and accommodating, taking care of any questions or requests we had.

The food was also really great, the smash burgers were delicious. The fries were stand outs especially, with a crisp texture and great seasoning. My daughter absolutely loved the mac and cheese, and she can be a bit of a picky eater.

While we didnt partake in any games, the selection is vast and has options for just about any genre. We will definitely be visiting for many...

This weekends visit was a 1-2 stars, leaving a 3 because we have had decent experiences in the past. For context this was our very first time not being served by who we assume is the owner, he is much more attentive than this weekends staff.

We visited this weekend and were one of only TWO parties when we arrived. We asked for a kids menu for our 3 year old and were told there isn’t one ( we’ve been here in the past and I asked on instagram if they had one and was told “Yup! We’re currently working on one but for now it consists of: Kids burger and fries Chicken fingers and fries Mac and cheese Grilled cheese and fries Mozzarella sticks” ) anyways they told me there isn’t a kids menu so I just ordered her the app size Mac n cheese no big deal but confusing.

We ordered our food shortly after noon and by 1pm we were starving, our 3 year old was getting HANGRY, no one had even stopped by our table to check in and I had to go to the front to find our waitress and ask if our food is coming anytime soon. We’re not hard to please people and if someone had just stopped by to refill drinks and check in it would have help immensely.

I’m still confused how an app Mac n cheese, a chicken sandwich with fries, and chicken strips with fries took longer than 1 hour to cook with only one other party in the entire place..?

Anyways, we live up the street and had quickly decided we would be here often but if this is the service quality without the owner we likely...
