Wow, you gotta'eat here!

A mother's home cooked meals, that's exactly what you'll get here. Doesn't matter if it's the pizza, the lasagna, cheesy garlic bread, or the veal sandwich, you'll be happy. The tasty sauce is wonderful. The ingredients are the secret to this 25+ year establishment.

VEAL SANDWICH: I had the veal sandwich a few day's back and I was impressed, so I came back for their pizza and lasagna. Some of the edges were over fried but it still tasted great. The veal was soft and tender with just the right amount of crust. The bun was super soft. Not chewy at all.

PIZZA: The pizza was great. All the ingredients are super fresh. The pepperoni and bacon were not overly salty, which is key to balancing the other flavors. I had extra cheese, pepperoni, bacon, garlic, and extra sauce. The parmesan (ask for it) was really fresh and authentic. For me, the extra cheese could have used a tad bit more, I should have asked. The chef cares, so make sure you let him know how you want it, he'll cater to your needs with love.

LASAGNA: My wife had the lasagna. When I asked her how it was she replied, "nice, tasted homemade." She's super picky so I was surprised when she liked it. Huge portion.

GARLIC CHEESY BREAD: The cheesy garlic bread was loaded with cheese and was so satisfying.

The food here will hit the spot. Give them a try and taste the difference. Will...

Well, the peppers were left off the veal sandwich, which is a shame. I love peppers on my sandwich! :) That said, the veal is good and the sauce is killer.

The wings are legit. I'm not a big fan of the medium sauce, but that's just a personal opinion. I was at the original Duff's in Amherst, NY, near Buffalo this week and they are my favourite, but these wings are damn near the same in terms of size, meatiness and texture. This means the wmgs are one of my favourite in the GTA. Considering this is more of a take-out, family run spot and not a bar, or wing joint, I'm damn impressed.

The garden salad is very good and comes with a great dressing, but the stand out for our order was the pizza. If you are a fan of places like Abruzzo in Richmond Hill, you better prepare yourself because this pie is above that. I can now get great pizza and wings from one take-out spot!

I'd rank the pie as the best pizza in the 905 and best take-out/delivery in the GTA. Yes, it's that good!

I can't wait to try their pasta and panzo soon. I'll be craving this for sure in the...

Il Bistro is a fantastic little spot for those who want authentic Italian homecooked meals. Second best, but only to my own Nonna.

The pizza is fantastic, always fresh ingredients and thoughtfully made with love.

The sandwiches are great and huge. For those who know of the original California Sandwich downtown by College St, it's on par with that (taste and size!).

And the pasta is, of course, always fresh and always fantastic! The sauce is delicious. One time, I called after a big catering order so they didn't have bolognese, so they improvised with me over the phone to put mushrooms instead, and I very much recommend trying that at least once. Very, very good.

The staff there are open and honest; very friendly folks. It is mom and pop, so you sometimes have to give them more of a heads up for ordering during their busier days and times, or else you might have to wait a bit. But I could not recommend this place more to anyone who wants a great homecooked...

Ever wished to have a veal sandwich made by an authentic Nona....well heres the spot. The hot peppers 🌶 they sell in the jar full of flavor and not as hot as I hopwd, however it makes up for it in taste. Use them for all my cooking / pasta / pizza / and the oil goes great with many dishes. The chicken sandwich i didnt find as great as the veal however it has been a while so i may have to revisit the chicken sandwitch again before I influence decisions between that and the veal. But outstanding sandwitches. Pizza the dough was fantastic but there are many great pizza spots around including papillon which I would suggest to go if your looking for a great tasting pizza its right beside. Love the owner here and very friendly clean and feels like home 🏡

The kindest people you’ll ever meet, and the most gigantic panzerotti you’ll ever feast. Eugene immediately greeted us when we entered the establishment and was incredibly courteous and accommodating from start to finish. We ordered a fried panzerotti with pepperoni and hot peppers as well as a veal sandwich as recommended by reviews. The panzerotti came with hot tomato sauce for dipping! Both were piping hot and we could tell it was made with love. Overall an amazing family-owned place for a cozy Italian fix. We’ll be back to try the pasta and pizza!
