The Wings Hut — Restaurant in Newmarket

THE RESOLUTION SHOULD NOT BE OFFERED AND REVOKED.It's a very sad day for this family-owned restaurant. We have been massive supporters since day one of opening. We've never had a bad experience. Our recent order on February 10th for $150 was completely unmerchantable standard. We are the last people on Earth to make anyone's day difficult, but wanted to bring the issue up to management as soon as possible. We called the very next day and spoke to a manager by the name of Vijay we explained to them that the 4 lb of wings with the two extra pounds from the Monday special where very dry hard and of like a jerky texture. We've never experienced this before the fries were very stale hard as if they had been cooked and then reheated. Again very different from the normal crispy fries we usually look forward to receiving. We also offered videos and pictures of the caesar wraps showing the brown and wilted lettuce again very unusual from our normal expectation BJ apologized and said that because it is the day after the Super Bowl and they were very busy that some of these things may have slipped past the quality control and made its way to our table. He offered to refund or credit me for the order. He also explained that because it is a small family-run business (spoke to the owners many of times) that they're doing the best they can and try to save money by offering leftovers from the day before on Mondays "help the community ". He also stated that they were doing me a favor because they added two extra sauces at no charge for the Monday night special. Keep in mind we are regular and frequent customers. At this point I could tell that it was probably best VJ refrain from offering any more reasons and excuses for the establishment. I explained to him that having a smaller organization should allow them to have more focus and attention on quality control. This phone call was not to cast blame or cause issues it was to bring something to their attention. I would love for opportunities like this to address our business and establishment. He then called me back 5 minutes later and told me that they would need the food. I said no problem I have all of the fries and wings left over not sure exactly what they're expecting to see especially since they've been sitting for 12 hours and I have videos and pictures of the caesar wraps and that I would bring them in. While making my way in he called me back again and said that he spoke to the owners and the owners have decided they will not do anything for me because they spoke to the chef and the chef assured them that he used fresh lettuce. The way in which this was handled was a disorganized circus at best. The quality of the food was DISGUSTING. Revoking their offer was even more disgusting. Just as they are trying to survive as a business we are trying to survive as a family and every single penny counts in this fragile and turbulent economy. I can no longer recommend anyone we know to this establishment not just for the decline in quality but in how they choose to unethical run their customer service and retention.

Friday night dinner decision was up in the air, told the wife was craving wings. She searched on line and said let go to WingsHut. Got there and was impressed by the menu selections and so many choices in flavours for the wings. Wife was craving poutine and ordered the Poutine with Cheddar Cheese. There were so many flavours we just could not decide. Like 130 different flavours. Came to the consensus of a classic Salt and Pepper Dry Rub. Food was Delicious and wings were 100% freshly made not like some of the other establishments that serve up precooked wings. Deepa, our server was very hospitable and a great server. We mentioned it was our first time there and she gave us recommendations on other flavours to try the next time. Will be going back for sure as we are definitely going to try all the other flavours, plus there is also Chicken n’ Waffles… and Chicken n’ Waffle cone. Yummy. Dinning experience was awesome and prices were great. Can’t go wrong if you are craving wings…. Recommendation for WingsHut for sure.

First time visiting The Wing Hut and enjoyed it We did the Family Deal (3lb, salad, fries plus an extra 1lb) for $75 take out dinner for three adults. Was enough food for everyone and pleased with the quality of the food. They have so many flavour options so make sure if you are trying a new flavour you know if it is a rub, dry or saucy if you have a preference. Also make sure to take note of the number of sauce choices you get, our 3lb wings were two sauces so if you want lots of flavours to try, you should be just ordering 1lb wings. As per other reviews the fries are a little crispy which is great as our family does not like soft floppy fries. Salad was also good quality. Friendly staff and easy parking were also of note. We just walked in off the street and placed the order since we wanted some recommendations and we got our food in less than 15mins for take out. They also do delivery with a minimum order. Nice to see this as a great local business with well prepared...
