Meltwich Food Co — Restaurant in Newmarket

I tried this place when they first opened. LOVED the poutine and discovered that lettuce on a grilled cheese was nasty to me, even thought it looked delicious!! Didn't go back. A couple months ago, I was craving a GOOD poutine and remembered this one, and decided to try them again. Got a poutine for my kid and I and a coupe burgers. The 4x4 took my kid OUT, but he loved it and the poutine was as amazing as I remembered!!! Tonight the kid wanted a burger and asked about the one that was so big and I told him where I got it. So, we came in this time, as the other times were delivered. And all I can say is WOW!! Small, but clean store. Wonderfully nice lady working the counter and back I believe. Both our burgers were amazing and tried the chicken bacon ranch melt, delish!! Plus the poutine and a chicken bacon ranch one. Both were as amazing as before!! The lady also gave us a small bag of fries left over from doing the poutines as she wasn't busy when we were there and they would have gone to waste. I had never tried their fries with nothing on them but DAMN, they were amazing too!!! Nicely salted and crisp, YUM!!! Will be back...

Went to the restaurant around 525 today (friday). Order at 530. Price was almost $60. Restaurant was understaffed in the back of house so everyone waited 25-30 mins for their food. The staffer made the milkshake a bit too early so it sat there till we got our food. Then we finally got the sandwiches because the poutines weren't ready yet. We had the grilly cheese steak and spice southwest chicken. They were okay. Not much flavour but they were better then the poutines which didn't sit well with us. Couldn't finish it all because of the lack of flavour. The peanut butter shake was the best part of the meal but we didn't...

I dont usually review poutines because im very critical. Ordered a regular poutine to go. Pleasantly surprised. Probably one of the best gravies in newmarket/aurora; better than Harvey's, Wendy's and New York fries. Fries are perfect size and crispyness, I've had better but these did the job. Finally, excellent curds taste wise and decent amount. Serves the poutine how most people like it. I like more gravy, but he did use a good amount and enough for most. Lives up to its rating, and respects the authenticity of food. Great. A very respectable 9/10...
