$43 for two 12oz soups and two sandwiches only half size.. one of the turkey bacon clubs only had 1 slice of turkey on it, two pieces of bacon and I asked for no tomato so it was almost all bread. The other one I ordered was a bit better but still not how they advertise it.. it atleast had two slices of turkey, two pieces of bacon and one slice of tomato. These half sandwiches were $11 each and barley had anything on them. I asked for a loaded potato soup as they advertise online, didn't have it, so I asked for a brocolli cheddar as they advertise in store on the menu, didn't have that either but didn't tell me until after I paid. I asked them if they could substitue a mac and cheese cause I wasn't intereted in any of the other soups but they wouldn't and since I had to come back up to fix my order infront of a line up of people waiting I didn't want to ask for a refund and ended up getting a soup I don't eat. Doesn't really seem like they are fully ready for customers. I heard them tell one another person in line they didn't have something else.. This place has the potential of being really good, the people working are nice but it's way over priced and they don't have everything...
Read moreNot as superb as Soup Nutsy in downtown Toronto. However, they have some go-to soups that are worth coming back for. Same consistency every time. Only 1 soup is made in-house fresh daily.
Must have: Chicken Potpie Soup, Good Really Good Good Chicken Noodle (the only soup made fresh daily), Chicken Wild Rice Medley.
Good options: Mac and cheese was a bit runny for my liking, but you have to get it with bacon. The lobster bisque was 3/5, and it didn't really hit the spot for me.
Bad: The chicken salad for the price was bland and nothing special. I don't recommend the salads
I have absolutely nothing bad to say about this establishment. We've dined in and grabbed takeout. Now that we know what's good here, we are never disappointed.
Customer service is good, it could be better. We visited the restaurant when they first opened and then a few days later. Owners are new and are learning the business. Father, Mother, and Son combo.
In order to get 4 out of 5 for food,I would expect fresh soups daily for the price. Portion size too small for price.
Give them a try, will...
Read moreMy friend and I tried the Zoup in Newmarket for the first time today. The owner and his wife (I think) were welcoming and friendly. They were patient with us as we took time to look over the menus board and invited us to sample their large variety of soups before deciding. We findly decided on the tomato soup with cheese dippers. The cheese dippers turned out to be an oversized grilled cheese sandwich, cut into four strips for dipping. The soup was delicious with the essence of fresh basil. I could not finish my serving and am looking forward to enjoying it again for lunch tomorrow. My friend finished his, but comment several times about how full he was.
Also, I should note I ticked off the “$10-20” box because our lunch was $10.99. Based on prices at similar eateries, I think we got good value for the money spent.
We were here on a Monday and there was ample parking in the plaza.
We will be back and most certainly will recommend...
