The Big Catch Newmarket — Restaurant in Newmarket

I ordered take-out, first time eating anything from this Newmarket location. My family and I had fish & chips, fish portion was perfect (8 oz.) cooked to perfection, the batter was light and crispy, just the way I like it (not greasy), the chips were golden brown and were the perfect crunch on the outside and soft on the inside. My family really enjoyed the food. I placed my order over the phone and the woman told me it would be ready in 15 minutes. I showed up exactly fifteen minutes later as I watched the put my bag on the counter (a 10 for being dead-on time) paying was quick and easy and I was out the door about 1 minute after I walked in. The bottom line is the food was delicious, quantity was perfect (I eat a lot) and the prices are great. I definitely will be a regular now. I think my next visit will be to enjoy a meal inside at one of their dinner style booths. Needless to say, tonight was an awesome experience for me and I'm sure it will be for you too. OMG.... I'm not sure what to say!!! The halibut and fries is amazing, portion big and perfect!! Onion rings, slaw and in house made tartar??? Awesome!!! My son absolutely devours these fries!! I order through a delivery app, so my only gripe would be the packaging, as the plastic collects the condensation from the hot and fresh fish and chips and drops it back on the crispy fish making it soft by the time it gets to me and I think the cardboard packaging would be better to absorb the condensation to prevent this, but OMG.... that's maybe worth half a star, which I can't do, so 5 it is!!! Thank you!!! :) And my kitty LOVES playing with the paper the onion rings are wrapped in, so I get dinner...

The fish was good. I had been to this place many times passing by. Under the current circumstances had not stopped in months. I just ordered as always. (except take out) There were 3 people in the shop... As the cashier called each person up she apologized for the wait & forgot all of their beverages & condiments. I watched the cook as he made ONE ORDER AT A TIME! I had never waited so long, even when the shop was full & they were doing take out! I also noticed most of the prices had been raised. At 1st thought it reasonable with extra Covid procedures. Unfortunately the time, quantity of food & quality of service changed my mind. They need help to get close to the same level of...
