Recently visited Niagara Falls, ON and was recommended to The Sweet Oven by a waitress at Triple D’s. The 3 of us NY gals fell instantly in love! Not only are Butter Tarts sinfully delectable, the owner ( Lisa) is a personable, creative, good-hearted soul who we instantly bonded with. We decided the Butter Tarts would be our trip souvenirs- placed orders and picked up the day we were returning. Lisa took the time to label our purchases so our friends/family would know what they were eating, and we got to meet her partner Dave. He was equally a wonderful human being. Cannot recommend enough- if only there were 10 stars!! We told our AirBnB host to make sure she suggests The Sweet Oven to all her future guests! Lisa, so far EVERYONE has loved the Butter Tarts!! You made us stars!!! I showed only 12 of the 60+ we bought!! The cheesecakes are tasty too

Every time I go to a butter tart festival, the Sweet Oven is the first, if not the only stop I'm making. Every single flavour they offer delivers a delicious and soft crust combined with the most flavourful filling I've had anywhere. It's been three years and I'm yet to be disappointed. Even when I've tried a flavour that I didn't expect to enjoy, I've bought it again. If you enjoy butter tarts, I sincerely doubt you'll leave disappointed. I also sincerely doubt you'll eat just one.

Just discovered heaven in a butter tart at The Sweet Oven! 🤤 Their Skor butter tarts are absolutely mind-blowing, and don't even get me started on their Skor cheesecake... pure indulgence! The customer service was just as sweet as their treats - absolutely grand! If you're a sweet tooth lover like me, you NEED to try these. Perfect balance of buttery, chocolatey, toffee goodness. Trust me, your taste buds will thank you! ✨🍰

Yummy! We can see why they won awards with their sweet tarts. We stopped by to get some before heading back to the US as a treat for ourselves and a gift for others. We started with just 6, but the owner was so friendly and confident in their product, that they offered us a free sweet tart right there. It immediately sold us on another half dozen! The filling is definitely very gooey and yummy and the breading is perfect. This won't be as buttery and flakey as you may find elsewhere, but I find that to be a reasonable compromise for the preservative-free filling and what it delivers on. My wife and I recently purchased a six pack of Sweet Oven butter tarts from a kiosk at the St. Jacob’s Market and I can honestly say, “These were the absolute best butter tarts I’ve ever tasted in my 60 years!” I tried the Skor butter tarts first and thought it was my new favourite until I sampled the plain butter tart … a few minutes later! Incredible! My wife really enjoyed the chocolate chip butter tart as well. We don’t get down to Niagara much any more but I plan to return to the St Jacob’s Market in hopes that they maintain a kiosk there every Saturday!
