Very rude drive thru worker. Waited in the very long line up, got to the speaker box and waited for a while. There was no communication coming through the speaker, and there was two car lengths worth of space between me and the car ahead, so I assumed the speaker wasn't working and that was why the lineup was so long. There was a sign on the top right hand of screen that said, "If you need help ordering, pull up to the window." I pulled up to the window and was met with a gentleman who yelled something at me as soon as he opened the window and I said excuse me? To which he told me $8.00, no hello, nothing. I explained that I hadn't made my order yet because no one asked when I pulled up to the speaker. He looked at me and said,"Uggh, you're really not suppose to do this. We're already backed up but I guess I'll take your order." I apologized and ordered a small chai latte and English breakfast tea latte. He brings me back the chai latte and a London fog. I tell him the order is wrong and he just gives me this deadass blank stare, as if to say "why is this my problem" I told him to forget about it and took the wrong drink, because there was no way he was taking this drink back willingly. Then proceeds to explain to me that next time I need to start yelling at the speaker if no one's talking and that he doesn't have time for this. What if no one answers? Shall I start screaming? Sorry you have to work a drive through shift so close to Chistmas pal, but thats not my problem. If you can't handle the rush, maybe reconsider you're career choice . This gentleman (if he deserves to be called that) was working the Saturday, November 17th shift at 2:12 pm. Read moreDrink 4/5, this time was made correct and tastes delicious. Service 0/5, pleasant and friendly but member at the window is incompetent with no listening skills. Called them within 10 mins of my transaction to explain the error which landed the team member a 140+% tip rather than the 40+% intended and management just went in the standard customer service circles to get someone off the phone. Did not make me feel heard or valued. Also no actual apology was offered for the team member inadvertently and unintentionally (with no malice, no accusation here it was genuinely a misunderstanding) stealing money from me. Not a single sorry even after I explained that I don't want them in trouble, I understand mistakes happen and that I didn't believe there was malicious intent and that all I wanted was for someone to make sure procedure for card reloads is gone over and that someone explains that even if it was unintentional, it was theft. TLDR; (My card was reloaded with the incorrect amount due to inability to listen and a misunderstanding and I paid cash so the much larger than intended change was left to them) Atmosphere 5/5, drive thru lane was clean and clear and dumpster doors closed.
Been a Starbucks member for more than a decade, not once in that time has anyone ever argued over a misunderstanding. Oh well. I'll stick to visiting the Thorold Stone...
Read moreI recently visited this Starbucks location (November 2024) with my friends and I have to say, I was extremely disappointed with my experience.
When we walked in, the staff greeted us with positive attitude; however, when my friends casually asked whether they have job opportunities, the atmosphere became from friendly nature to super unwelcoming nature. The staff (I believe the name is Ryan) is not only rude but also became completely uninterested in providing any sort of decent service. That staff even made off-putting remarks in agitated and rude voice. This same staff’s attitude became outright dismissive and really made our experience unpleasant.
To make matter worse, this staff also continued to talk to other staffs regarding the same topic (about job opportunities) by themselves that my friends should have applied online when we’re just casually and nicely asking. It’s like we’re not even there hearing their conversation.
This is not an experience I expect on a store that has a reputable brand. I’m not expecting a high pleasant experience; but, just a common decency experience with basic customer etiquette.
Never ever coming back to this store. I would not even recommend this...
