I was on my way to our trailer in Kincardine, and tried to order on line for pickup through online orders. I selected the location placed the order and paid for it all online. When we got to Kincardine to pick up the pizzas I was told that they did not have my order, I showed them that the order was placed online and the money already withdrawn from my account they did check but could not do d my order and asked if I would like to place the order again which meant that I would have to pay again. So I did just that. About an hour after placing the second order I received a call from. Pizza hut the person on the phone identified himself as someone from the Listowel pizza hut, he advised that my pizza is ready and waiting for pick up. At that moment I realized what had happened and advised them that I already placed aand picked up new order at the Kincardine location. And I requested a refund for the initial order that was directed to the wrong location. He advised me that they would reverse the)09+charge. Read moreI had a very disappointing experience with the person who took my order over the phone. He said his name was PUDO, though I’m not sure if that was his real name. He was extremely rude—interrupting me repeatedly, not letting me finish my sentences, and making assumptions about my order before I could explain. His tone of voice came across as angry and impatient, which made the call uncomfortable from the start.
Although he ended up taking the order, I felt so dissatisfied with how I was treated that I called back to cancel my $50 order. When I asked to speak with the manager, he claimed the manager wasn’t available and said he was the supervisor. When I insisted on speaking with the manager, he bluntly said “no” and then hung up on me.
I’ve been a loyal customer and have ordered from this location many times without issue, but this experience was unacceptable. The staff I dealt with clearly lacked basic customer service skills and professionalism. Proper training in customer relations is seriously needed. I’m gluten free (allergy) so I went to the Pizza Hut website and found the allergen guide to make sure what I ordered was ok. After submitting the online order, I wanted to reach out to make sure the order got flagged to help reduce risk of cross contamination. Whoever picked up the phone was not helpful. They didn’t understand what gluten free was, they said they didn’t have ingredient or allergy guides on-site so he had no idea what was safe or not.
