To start: great beer, great food, super staff. Great location, too, but that might be a personal bonus...
Before I go on more, this is awesome beer.
I have always loved Bridge. Bridge was the first craft brewery here and they have always impressed. I remember the garage they had in NV District: not easy to get to on a bus, but well worth the trip.
Now they have their main brewery site and this uptown location - an added bonus! Inside has a simple, open feel (nice, considering is isn't a large space). Outside is a nice deck, currently expanded for the COVID space out.
All of Bridge's currently produced beers are available, along with their cider (a nice pineappley-sweet, smooth apple flavour) and a couple types of wine. There are also 6 packs of beer that you can purchase for take out, and growler refills will be available when the laws allow them again, so it is quite convenient.
The food menu has snacks like pretzel puffs, chicken wings and crunchy cauliflower; a nice big burger; Tuscan salad; tacos, and a bunch more. I've got to say that the cheese & beer sauce that comes with the savoury pretzel puffs is fantastic and I could probably eat it as a soup.
We had a great time there last night, tasting food and drinks (and getting slightly louder with each passing hour). The staff was great - friendly and helpful; they worked to get us an outside table when one opened up, just because we asked if it could happen. People do like the staff - returning customers chat with staff as friends, and that is a great thing to see.
We will definitely be back in the near future, it is a...
Read moreUpdate: Touched base with the manager re: the 40% tip. She offered reimbursement but it didn't seem worth the hassle. However we recently went in almost two hours before normal closing time and the server looked super annoyed, saying they were closing early and it was last call for food. When we instantly ordered from memory she got even more annoyed probably hoping we'd just leave instead of actually order. Absolutely zero customer service and we were made to feel like a nuisance. We've taken our weekly hiking group meet-up to the Shipyards area.

Good food, good service but a bit slow, although we were a table of 8 so it's understandable. Super disappointed the 18% gratuity wasn't disclosed to us so we all tipped almost 40% of our bill. We'll know for next time but it seems intentionally shady to not mention it in the hopes of getting twice the tip.
Also, one of your servers needs to learn how to pour pints without so much waste. She just had the glass upright pouring straight down from inches above until mounds and mounds of foam flowed over the edges. Super wasteful for you guys trying to...
Read moreEnjoyed a casual beverage on their patio a couple of weeks ago - Leah C our server was awesome. Smiley, friendly and attentive. Been here a few times now and this is my feedback overall: The bench seats could use some cushions and the cider wasn't my favorite (tasted a little like bananas...). Obviously not a place to go FOR a cider but that was my experience. Red wine I had a week or so later was tasty! Can you tell I'm not a beer drinker? I wish I could, you guys. It's not my fault! Husband enjoyed his flight of beer. Cauliflower wings are gooood and the chicken burger was also delish. Avocado toast would be welcomed not served on a plate over the silver tray since it's a knife and fork situation when an egg is involved. And to have two thicker slices of toast instead of three thin ones - they got a little floppy and sad. I get it, I'm rolling my eyes at myself. But it's the little things, you know? Overall, will return for dinner/appy fare but probably not...
