I’m honestly not quite sure why this spot is rated so highly. I really wanted to like it, especially knowing it’s a family-run business, but it just didn’t live up to the hype for me.

I ordered an iced latte and unfortunately found the beans pretty tasteless. On the bright side, the breakfast sandwich was actually very good. The staff were also genuinely welcoming.

Where it fell short for me was the atmosphere and overall experience. The decor and cleanliness felt a bit neglected - it doesn’t seem like the space is regularly refreshed or particularly cared for. The bathroom, for example, reminded me more of a gas station restroom in terms of lighting and decor.

Another issue: there are no outlets. I understand some cafes avoid them to prevent people from camping out all day, but for someone like me trying to work between meetings or just needing to charge a phone, it’s really inconvenient. There are ways to strike a balance - like simply asking customers to make a purchase every hour or so.

Again, I respect the fact that this is a family business, but I’ve seen plenty of family-run cafes that put more effort into creating a thoughtful guest experience. With some updates and more attention to coffee quality and comfort, I think this place could...

It's a cold morning, but this warm coffee makes it so much better.

This is honestly the best coffee deal on the Northshore. Maybe even Vancouver overall.

I get an incredible fresh, quality sandwich and coffee, sometimes twice a day. At least multiple times a week.

If you are looking for quality without breaking the bank, go here.

Honestly. Just go here.

The quality of the food, coffee, and the amazing courteous consistent service will prove it to you better than my words.

Literally the breakfast sandwich special is amazing. You can spend more on a fancy coffee at Starbucks. You can't even get the same level of quality food, it just isn't available.

This is all made fresh with the best ingredients right in front of you.

Heck, if you were to get a sandwich from anyone else in the area, it would be lower quality for more money. I know, because it took me years to find this diamond in the rough.

You simply can't get...

How is this place not more popular?? Excellent service, delicious food, and drinks that are priced sooooo reasonably.

I came in and purchased the breakfast deal. It included a breakfast sandwich with bacon, ham, egg, tomato and lettuce (your choice of English muffin, break or bagel). All of that is only $7! Yes...$7! For $8, you have a nice coffee or tea. Oh and did I mention that the breakfast sandwich is freshly made and not sitting in the cooler?! What is this madness?!

The atmosphere is also excellent. It's quiet and inviting reminding me of a small town coffee shop. Peggy (the owner) comes out to chat with her customers and makes me feel so welcome.

The only complaint I would have is that the parking situation might make it difficult to visit, but it's well worth it.

Debit...

I continue with my expedition trying a new cafe every morning while in North Vancouver. Came here today based on such a high rating! So thrilled! Great cappuccino! Esp it was seved so so hot! Not every shop cares about the temperature, but that matters! And the breakfast bagel is stunning too, housemade by the owner lady Peggy. Her daughter is so helpful and friendly, taking care of every order with attention to details and excellence! A cozy, friendly family shop, standing there for 17yrs, so i heard! Not small feat.
