Having loved a good donair since childhood and tried many different styles and places all over Europe and Canada I find the donair is becoming too ubiquitous and inconsistent at most places. My joy at finding Donair Plus was justified after my first of so far half a dozen times that I’ve been here. To find lamb as an option is quite rare these days comparatively speaking so along with freshly prepared in-house falafels and crispy fresh salads as accompanying chicken and lamb combo platter has consistently been the delicious experience of every meal I’ve had here. The owner Mehrdad’s welcoming charm and warm reception is typical of a dedicated and passionate operator which is clearly apparent in the quality and the excellent quality and the great value of all that’s served. I especially recommend the fries, though perhaps not the obvious side order for Mediterranean cuisine , however the flavourful and crispy quality of the fries is further evidence of a quality owner and operator. Strongly recommended. Well done Mehrdad. Keep up...
Read moreFriendly, fast service, reasonable prices. Tucked away on basically a residential part of 12st just off Lonsdale. Not a great location. I happened to be early for a site meeting around the corner (other party late). This was a real treat. I had had it a long time ago and was pleased to find it just as good as it was years ago. Really filled the pita with meat, veggies and enough but not too much sauce. It stayed together for me the whole way through. Really large portion of chicken donair for only $14. Reasonable price for a meal at this time of hyper-inflation. Also feels great to support a small business. Donair Dude up Lonsdale has a more prominent location, but absolutely no flavour. Try this one if you are around. Wont be...
Read moreFinally a good donair in North Vancouver!!! Not since 2007 have I tasted such perfectly seasoned halal certified chicken, this wonderful wrap took me to the spot on 3rd street back in the day, oh the memories. The kind gentlemen, the fast service no not even the perfect side street location is the reason I gave 5 stars. In fact this heavenly donair does not have anything special you wouldn't expect, its all about the slightly grilled/chard pita once the master has completed his wrap, this is next level in texture and flavour. (side note)Yummy and Dude both offend me with there bland flavor and lack of attention to detail. People keep saying "it's Halifax style Bruh" , well keep your nasty donair on the East Coast Bruv, I gots...
