A staple of lonsdale and beloved by everyone in north Vancouver. Our city and district's Remembrance Day ceremony takes place on the east side of the park, where the cenotaph is.

Great park, very well maintained and groomed. People love taking their dogs here and having big family BBQs, from what I've always been able to tell, people clean up after themselves and their dogs adequately here, which is important if you're trudging around, drink in hand throwing a frisbee or some bocce. I've never noticed tons of dirty needles and other typical nefarious park-type things scattered around here either. As I said: the park is well loved and taken care of.

And yes: the western side is where you're legally allowed to have alcoholic park drinks. A bonus...

Remembrance Day 2023, photos by Farhad Rahgozar

In Canada, November 11th marks Remembrance Day, a solemn occasion dedicated to honoring the courage, sacrifices, and contributions of Canadian veterans and armed forces personnel who valiantly served their nation. Always a pretty walk, any time of year! Through, Victoria Park, or on the Green Belt. Great for picking up chestnuts for decor, picnics, walkies🐕🚶🌰 Nice cut through the city, Extends to both sides of Lonsdale. With the Cenotaph on the East side. Picnic tables spread out on the West side. Grass, old trees...☺️
