Disappointing Experience at McDonald's Westview, North Vancouver

On March 4th, between 5:10 and 5:20 PM, I had a very unpleasant experience at this McDonald's with the manager on duty. I went to pick up an online order, and when I arrived, I asked if the bag was included since it was a takeout order. The response I received was incredibly rude and unprofessional.

I was told that the bag costs 30 cents. Since I didn’t have my wallet with me, I explained the situation, expecting some understanding or flexibility. Instead, the manager responded dismissively: "If you don’t have it, then there’s no bag," with no attempt to help or show any courtesy.

When I mentioned that this was not the right way to treat customers, she continued to be arrogant and rude. When I asked for her name, instead of responding professionally, she laughed and made sarcastic remarks along with the other employees. This level of disrespect and unprofessionalism, especially from a manager, is completely unacceptable.

It is disappointing that McDonald's allows this kind of customer service. I have heard other negative comments about this location, and after my experience, I understand why. I hope that the owner of this Westview franchise reads these reviews at some point and takes action to restore order in their establishment.

Unfortunate stop for food, but that's what happens when you plan poorly and arrive late.

The restaurant was filthy. The staff went from tills to directly handling food and back again. No organization, poor line system and very long wait times despite the orders being bumped off the board like they are completed. (I find most fast food chains also do this)

The staff had two orders wrong and I was told my order was not ready despite it sitting on the heat platform for 5+ minutes. I showed them my number and a senior staff told me directly: "actually, you need to wait there are customers ahead of you" It took the staff member who was rotating from cash to food prep to realize what had happened.

The food was disgusting, cold, shriveled like it had been on a tray warming for a very, very long time.

Every available table was filthy, the garbage (where 3/4 of my food ended up) was overflowing on the floor. The drink area was filthy with garbage and smeared ketchup.

All McDonald's' are the same these days with the same consistent "food" bacteria won't touch (just trust me on that or watch the movie "supersize me".

I rank each restaurant now by the level of its seediness and mortal danger at night. How do you even get insurance for their story restaurants is beyond me... This location gets filled up with overspills from the homeless shelters around the area that got full and these guys are the extras that spilled onto the street so it's cold in these guys come inside. Kevin just another tables all the the best behavior until midnight hits and they need to have the shot of the Good Ole thing.... So stabbings into each other. Simple out the garbage cans on Dick to put their hand in their take leftover food out and start eating it to feet away from a five-year-old is trying to get his pop from the machine these people out or close the restaurant down this is not the way to...
