We had the pleasure of dining at Chalu Chinese on Taunton Road in Oakville, and it was an outstanding experience.

Their Indo-Chinese cuisine is simply amazing—each dish burst with great taste and generous portions that left me thoroughly satisfied.

I was particularly impressed by their commitment to using natural ingredients; no MSG, artificial flavors, or palm oil are used in their recipes, which truly sets them apart.

The menu is wonderfully diverse, offering not only classic Indo-Chinese dishes but also exciting Thai fusion options.

We loved, soya chap , fried rice with tofu - which were beyond expectations. Must try. We also did uber eats and there honey chilli potato and chaap was super delicious and our guest were happy.

On my visit, I got to try their newly launched drinks menu, and I must say, it did not disappoint! I’ve since ordered from Chalu Chinese three times, and each experience has only reinforced my love for this place.

Opened just two months ago, this restaurant boasts a comfortable dining space and top-notch service that makes every visit memorable.

I thoroughly enjoyed this restaurant. My husband and I ordered the Khao Suey with chicken (extra spicy), the Chilli Paneer (regular spice), Singapore Style noodles (no spice), and Darsaan for dessert. To say this was the best meal we have had in a while is a huge understatement!! The chef is a true master. The chili paneer was my favourite and I’m looking forward to the next time I get it already. Everything we ate tasted fresh and super flavourful. Delicious!!

Hitaksha was a wonderful server. She is so cheery and kind and made it such a welcoming and pleasant environment. She was incredibly helpful in explaining the dishes to us and helping us choose what we would like best. I asked to order whatever her favourite dessert was and she brought us the darsaan. I dnow trust Hitaksha with her recommendations for life!! Unfortunately I didn’t get a photo of it as we ate it too quickly.

Overall, this experience was a 10/10 and we will be back very very soon. Please do yourself a favour...

My wife and I stumbled across Chalu Aapna Desi Chinese Cuisine completely by chance. We were leaving the LCBO when we spotted it and thought, "What's that place?" Curiosity got the better of us, and we’re so glad it did.

As soon as we walked in, we were greeted by a lovely woman who made us feel instantly welcome. I’m a big fan of baos, so when she mentioned their Desi-Chinese fusion baos, I was sold. We tried the crispy mushroom Bao and the chicken hot garlic Bao based on her recommendation.

What a surprise to find out they each come with two! Honestly, I still can’t decide which one I liked more. The buns were pillowy soft, and the fillings were absolutely bursting with flavour. The mushroom was rich and crispy, while the chicken had the perfect spicy kick.

This place totally caught us off guard in the best way possible. We’re already planning our next visit. If you're in the area, do yourself a favour and give it a try. Hidden gem...
