Today, March 8, 2025, yes, International Womenās Day, I went to your store in the morning. I used to buy the same item, cheese and ham twist, but there was a longer line today so when I waited I look around for other products. I saw some other guests were trying the featured hot cross bun samples and that reminded me that I have received the email coupons for the promotion of buying 6 hot cross buns and get a free loaf. I have received the email promotion many times but never thought of using it because I donāt like cinnamons and in my experience hot cross buns usually contain cinnamons. However when I waited in line I found youāre having some different flavors of hot cross buns and thought maybe I can choose a different flavor which may have different ingredients other than cinnamons and I can use the promotion code to get a free loaf at the same time. So when itās my turn, the only male server at the desk asked what I want. I asked him if the promotion is still available since I never thought of using it so I didnāt notice its deadline. The staff answered me I need to show the email code to use the promotion. So I took out my phone and searched for the email I received. He asked me which buns I want and I chose the raspberry/white chocolate one which I guessed may not contain cinnamons but later on found it still has a strong cinnamon flavor in it⦠And the staff asked which loaf I want and I asked can I choose any kind, again because I didnāt pay attention to that promotion before so Iām not sure if thereās any limitations. The staff told me I can choose any kind except the cheese pullapart. I said oh! Too bad that is my favorite. Cheese pullapart is not only my favorite loaf but also my kidsā favorite. I believe itās one of Cobsā most popular items that many people love. Although itās a pity that itās not an option here itās ok, I just picked apricot delight which is also my kidsā like. Then itās time to pay. The staff told me to scan the barcode in my email. I tried but it didnāt go through. Then I couldnāt believe what happened next!! That male staff said to me: The code can only be used once. And you have used it so itās not working now. I said: no, Iāve never used it. Actually, as I said, I didnāt even think of using it because I donāt like cinnamon flavor!! But the staff insisted and said: yes, you did. You used the promotion a couple of days before and was purchased from me so I remembered. I was so shocked why he said a never happened thing so naturally like if itās true!!?? I didnāt even go to the store couple of days ago how can I buy things from him?? I said: no, I didnāt even come in to your store in a few days. Do you want to try to manually key in the code to see if it works? He didnāt want to try but said: yes, you did, I remember you. But itās ok, Iāll still give you the promotion. I didnāt know what to say! I felt very offended. Why this person keep saying things I never did to me?? I said I didnāt but he just kept the calumny. Does he have any evidence of what he is saying? I said you can check my purchase history in my loyalty account to see if I bought the item before. He didnāt do it. Do you discriminate Asian women? I never heard about that or I may stop shopping in your store and also warn other people about it. Can you check my account or your store cameras to see if thereās any evidence that supports what you said about me! If you cannot find it, you should apologize to me. Itās so ridiculous! Before today all my experiences with this store were good with other female staffāsā services. This is the only time I encountered a male staff and I didnāt expect this ridiculous conversation would happen. Is this how you celebrate Womenās Day? How ironic! I think you should have better staff training for a more respectful service to customers, at least donāt falsely accuse them. And I still donāt know why I keep receiving your promotional emails but when I happened to use...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI had an unpleasant experience during my first visit to this location (3rd Line, Oakville) When I came in, the male staff greeted me nicely at first. I took a moment to look around and decide which scones to buy to share with my colleagues at the nearby hospital. However, while I was choosing, he suddenly told me that he was busy and seemed to rush me, even though I was the only customer in the store at that time.
When I finally ordered, he wasnāt really paying attention. He kept saying he got my order but repeated the wrong quantity, which made me feel disrespected and uncomfortable. What upset me most was seeing how his tone changed ā he became noticeably friendlier when two white ladies came into the store right after. It felt unfair and discriminatory.
I shared this experience with my colleagues, and many were disappointed to hear about it. I hope the management looks into this matter seriously. Respect and kindness should be shown to every customer, no matter who they are. Unfortunately, this experience has made me decide not to return to...

The woman(owner) stated out loud in front of customers & staff that the first staff member to be afraid of her!? I believe the staff member said she was intimidated. I would be if someone was hanging over my every move too!
TOTALLY UNCALLED FOR & NOT ON THE FLOOR IN FRONT OF CUSTOMERS!
Save your comments with staff off the floor & in private. Show more respect with your clientele also, they do not want to hear these things.
Also, it would be more welcoming to see your staff with gloves on handling all the products in store! I believe the Burlington store all...
