Update: Foodie Love thank you for your reply however I am a little shooked that you would not change anything. Therefore I think you miss read or understood some of what I wrote below. All we recieved with the BBQ Chicken was the chicken and none of the sides were included with our order. Also this pictures of the Fried Chicken and Waffles show both a top and bottom waffle - if you do not sure it that way why would you use stock pictures that are inaccurate.
Couldn’t get anyone on the phone so we ordered through to online system and paid through PayPal. Got an email from PayPal showing what we paid but never received anything from Foodie Love with the order details. Went to pick up our food. Very different place to get into - you can only access the parking lot by head east in Dundas or south on Third line. Got home with our food and opened it but it was not what we ordered. Once again I can’t check my order because i didn’t get a confirmation of it. But I know I ordered the Buffalo Fried Chicken sandwich. However I have a piece of chicken with bones in a tray. I called the restaurant and explained that I do not believe I got the right order. We were told that we received what got what We ordered which was apparently the 1/2 BBQ chicken. I understand that mistakes happen and we may have made the mistake however if we ordered the BBQ chicken where were the pita bread, potatoes, Greek salad and tzatziki sauce? We also found it odd that Chicken + Waffles was in the sandwich section but did not have a top so you could eat it like a sandwich. Food was ok but the experience left us with a very bad taste. Will not...
Read moreMy husband and I had gotten Greek pitas from Foodie Love a while back and really enjoyed them.
Unfortunately, my second experience with Foodie Love was not so good. This time around I opted for the West Side Bowl. It was advertised as having "Roasted Sweet Potato, Pomegranate, Green Apples, Slivered Almonds, Honey Roasted Peanuts, Goat Cheese with Balsamic Dressing". I opted for a bed of quinoa + mixed greens.
First off, I got a romaine lettuce instead of mixed greens. Not a huge deal in itself (I am aware of all the supply chain issues we are encountering these days), but it would have been appreciated had the restaurant actually acknowledged the substitution.
As for the other ingredients (aside from the quinoa), I would say that they amounted to 1/3 of a cup total, and that was mostly comprised of sweet potatoes. I pretty much needed a magnifying glass to identify the few pieces of goat cheese, which were so tiny (the size of an apple seed) they barely made a difference in the taste.
Although the overall flavour was good, $11.99 + tax for a bowl of quinoa, romaine lettuce and a basically a few sweet potato chunks was definitely not worth it. I don't know that we...
Read moreI was curious about this location when I did a quick search on Maps to see what kind of food places were around my new work location. I'm always a fan of Greek food and they seemed to have a good selection of it so I got a classic chicken wrap and a Greek salad. They were both really good honestly. Since then I've also tried their Greek fries which are fantastic. The staff could not be nicer, there was a day I went in there and they had a panel of glass break so there were some pieces of glass scattered on the floor, it really wasn't dangerous and I offered to help them clean it up. They refused that and did not charge me for my lunch for the inconvenience, even though I told them it was no inconvenience! Every time I call to place an order they immediately know it's me and they're always extremely accommodating...
