I heard about OSC not being a great choice a few years ago from other parents. They signed up with other associations in Burl and Miss. I myself as a kid was in OSC so I have no reason to personally dislike them as I myself was a product of theirs. However, it is clear that they have really let the care and quality drop and the $$$ that come into it are probably greater than ever. Lets start with the facility. It is unfortunate that the Town gave them a sweetheart deal way back then. Because of the great indoor field automatically default to it as their choice. This makes it difficult for competing groups in Oakville to gain a foothold. However, if OSC was providing a great service none of what I just said would matter. But they simply are not.
My experience. I have kids in Boys Under 7, and girls Girls Under 5. So I sign them up. And for my boys we get an email weeks before the season is supposed to start for fall indoor soccer asking for a coach. I was a bit surprised by this as I thought OSC would have coaches in place. They said its a volunteer position - ok thats fine. But then said anyone can do it, they will help with it. Anyone can do it??? Please explain to me what I'm paying for. Now when we get there its mostly just a game. That's fine but there is no skills being taught. If you happen to be a young capable boy you pretty much dominate the game. My kids haven't learned simple rules, h ow to kick properly or anything about soccer. They just know they need to score in a net. Really?!?!? This is how they can get away with a parent volunteer because nothing is actually taught. I also heard from other parents that some parents on their teams had originally volunteered but then had to bail and send emails saying to the other parents to "Step-up"!!! If parents wanted to be a coach they would have been. But the poor way OSC has it set up leads to these problems. Another team in my boys league is lead by someone who's english is not very good. I guess thankfully this person stepped up. But then i hear parents ripping on the volunteer coach....OSC wake up, the idiotic way you have this setup is leading to all these problems. My daughter is younger and for her its fine. She runs around and plays. But she is taught nothing. I cannot tell you the number of parents that dislike the OSC and the experience they have had. Maybe you won't care. But if you expect some value in the money you have spent that you will not be happy. Trust me, fine another place that builds skills, works with kids and one that isn't just a big factory that plows through players hour after hour. Sad state of affairs. I really wish the OSC didn't have that location and it was equally usable by all leagues in Oakville. Then they would really feel the heat. Sadly they still make boat loads of $$$$ and they won't care about my comment or any...
Read moreWow this league is disgusting! WISH I COULD POST ZERO STAR BUT I CANT
Let's start with the following:
If you want your kids to not have fun, learn soccer, be in organized sports, or teams that play uneven, no coaches, then this is the perfect league for you.
We have been with this club for more than 8yrs.
One in 14yr and 16yr teams Each game they come back defeated not interested in playing anymore.
My 14yr old team barely had a full roster
No coach, no uniform, the kids that showed up played in their own clothes and were already the joke of U14. Second game the random 14-year-old that they found at the first game decides he wants to coach. This is allowed because parents were told that his mother and 2 other parents committed to being assistant coaches
My wife reached out to league several times, in every case they defended their position claiming they did all they could When the team forfeited 3 games the league didn't jump in to address the matter even when it was brought to their attention
Team players quit due to lack or moral, I mean why would anyone want to play when your playing a 7 man team to 19 a full roster,
The boys get tired and have no change ups
All I know is at anytime when issues from parents were brought up they could have stepped and addressed them but they showed a lack of care or involvement.
My son was hurt and blacked out on the field but the ref didn't stop the game, so my wife ran to the field and because of that the ref cancelled the game.
So if your looking for a league that doesn't care about your kids, teaching the game of soccer and just wants your fee this is the place for you.
After contacting the league several times and not addressing my concerns this is the last time I will visit this club
9 players on red team 2 on green they call that organized

Read moreSTAY AWAY from OSC leagues. $$$$$$$$$ Some of people working there are really nice people, but the club is now becoming a money grabbing machine. It's very much under stuffed, everyone takes days to reply an Email and the league tables were updated weeks late. In my experience I requested players change in my team which ends up taking more than 1 month...
In addition, OSC is not a judiciary committee, it's a circus. First hearing, the referee made a mistake to send off our team player instead of the other team player who headbutted our player, I even submitted a video clearly recording this incident. My claim is to the referee and for OSC to apologize and not to ban the other team player. But the hearing served no such purpose, instead just focus on banning the opposition player and fine them for more money $$$$$$$$$. The second hearing was for me, because I'm tired of this really stupid hearing process I sent an Email and didn't join the hearing. The reason was OSC arbitrarily changed the game date to Sunday which we can't get enough players so i invited a few guys to fill, which was found by the referee. Because I didn't join this hearing, they send me a ticket for $100 for not showing up, then banned me indefinitely. To appeal any decisions it's another $250, how convenient. $$$$$$$$$ OSC is not what...
