I’ve been going to pizza pizza for years and love their food. Their pizza is nostalgic and I love their sauces. I go to this location often.
However, this time I went I had a not so good experience. I ordered an XL pizza and wanted one topping on half and another on the other half. This has been my order since 2011! The guy behind the counter looked a bit done with my order, and in a dismissive yet firm tone, tells me that it’s NOT allowed. I kindly said that it’s my regular and I get it all the time. Maybe they had a policy change? Realizing that it’s not my first time and I do know what is and isn’t allowed, he then puts it in, but incorrectly puts both toppings on the right half side only. Noticing that he hadn’t taken the order down properly, I again let him know on opposite half’s. I have dietary restrictions so can only eat halal, and he put in the regular topping. I know that anytime it’s halal meat, it lists it as that. I asked him about it and he very dismissively said “yeah yeah that’s what it is.” I was left less than satisfied, feeling unsure on what if he forgets or someone else makes it and they don’t know that I wanted it halal. I thanked him and finished my order.
As I paid, without any communication he just suddenly walked away. I took a moment and looked in the back but it didn’t seem like he had any plan on coming back. Left in this awkward situation, I had to reach over the counter and finish grabbing the receipt. As he was in the back, I asked him about the time it would take because again, he didn’t say anything and just abruptly left. This information is quite basic, so I’d feel that it’s customary to provide it. The store was virtually empty by the way.
I stepped outside and went back in 15 minutes to pick the pizza up that seemed to have been ready for a few minutes. He gives me the pizza, and I let him know I also have sauces. He takes them out of the fridge, plops them on my pizza, and again just walks away. At this point, I felt really surprised on how little they cared about the order. I really felt like the customer service was substandard.
Usually the sauces role around my car, and keeping them on top of the pizza box makes them warm. I asked him if he had a bag for the sauces - I know they have little paper bags. His face looked astonished, almost as if I had asked something out of this world and inappropriate. Instead of just giving me a little paper bag, he made a face and became wide-eyed shaking his head with disapproval and said “it’s not good for the environment” in a really dismissive way. A simple request was met with an environmental defence. I didn’t want to argue with him and say anything along the lines of theres more plastic in the sauce containers, than the bag, I just responded with “it’s recyclable :)” Again, plops it and walks away. I thank him and no response. I’m just making sure the pizza is made correct quickly. Two seconds later I’m walking out and I let him know I appreciate it and have a good night.
From the dismissive and snappy tone, to making faces, lack of communication, and side comments, I honestly felt like the customer service was below adequate. Perhaps it’s a strategy that when they don’t want to do something, like add a topping on one half and another on the other half, they say it’s not allowed? I remember I once asked for a party cut, where they just cut the pizza into squares rather than triangles, and someone at this location also said that it was a rule it’s not allowed and they’d never do it again for me.. I don’t think a request like that takes much time, nor does it takeaway anything in terms of cost. I know dominoes and other locations have no issue with this request.
Honestly, pizza is readily available, but the experience is what sets everyone apart. With this recent experience, combined with some in the past at this location, it really makes me wonder why they would not want the customers to have a, if not great experience,...
Read moreTwo pizzas ordered a small Hawaiian and a xl Prosciutto & Arugula. The small pizza was delivered exactly as we opened it as you can see in thee picture, box clearly tipped to the side and toppings all fell off. Didn't eat this one. The other pizza, well doesn't look even close to how its advertised online, and for some reason we got arugula on only half. The prosciutto itself looks very dark in colour, almost brown and does not look fresh at all. I was disgusted and refused to eat this one as it look unappetizing and I didn't want to risk eating what looks like 'gone bad' prosciutto. This location in particular always has issues with not getting my order right and this was the first time in over a year ordering and this is what I got. Always the same thing...."here's a store credit sir " So tired of the food and service from this location that I had to finally drop a review here. Again, now I am forced to spend $36.00 at pizza pizza when there are so many other options to order from in the future. Head office refuses to...
Read moreA dark skinned south Asian male refused to give me the Uber eats order without a valid reason. When I first walked into the store he was asking me for a bag because it's mandatory and then I went and got a bag for just so that he can give me the order. As soon as i got the bag I showed him the order number he gives me a weird look and starts asking me did you get the bag from one of the other uber eats delivery guy and then I'm like no this is my bag and I got it from my car. Then he starts mumbling and then I start asking him if he got everything that was listed on this order and then he just stares and I tell him to just give me the order now and then he all of a sudden gives me an attitude by saying I'm not giving you the order and refuses for no valid reason. Then I started getting upset at him and then I had to cancel the order and ask uber eats for a refund and to cancel services from this location. I hope the manager of the store sees this and does something about it. This happened around 12:50...
