I have always visited A&W when I want a better burger than the other burger places. Not sure what has happened,tried this particular location for the first time. Placed online order,expensive almost $40 for two burgers,a kids burger and 1 order of chicken strips and onion rings. This was my worst A&W meal ever. Waited 20 mins for my order when I got there,which I don't mind figuring my food will be hot and fresh. The staff seemed lost and not well trained. I live two mins away,when we got home,burgers were ice cold,dry and looked like they were sitting around for a long time. Chicken fingers were a little warm,but did not look appetizing at all. Kids burger for my daughters first ever A&W meal looked disgusting.. a dry burger bun,and an even dryer pattie. Cold and old fries and onion rings. Not to mention the warm beverages,which were poured 15 minutes before my order was handed to me. They are advertising their 1956 burgers....they should focus on 1956 quality....and better prices.,and I'm sure they had ice in their drinks in 1956. The dine in restaurant was closed due to current covid protocols. These restaurants are saving money on dine in costs,no ice machine costs,...they claim people dont want watered down drinks,I would prefer a slightly cold watered down beverage over a warm one. Just a gimmick to not pay for ice machines Their prices are very high,and the quality is very low compared to 1956 and today's standards. Before we went I told daughter,A&W food is so much better than her other favorite burger place,yes McDonald's...I was proven that it isn't better,at least...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWent to a&w at 12:30am October 23rd, food was delicious donāt get me wrong (after I had to put it together myself) I didnāt get her name but the woman at the drive thru window was so disrespectful and so rude. I understand itās late and Iām on nights so this is when I eat. Gave me attitude about toppings on the burger over the speaker and yelled she could hear me so I pulled up and she immediately rolled her eyes at me. I politely repeated all toppings and she slammed the window in my face. Waited in the parking lot for 10 min for my burger patiently for her to swing the door open with the most attitude and basically chuck the burger in my face then I realized they forgot the cheese and Iām vegetarian so thatās basically the whole taste of my veggie burger so I pulled back through and the attitude was 1293939% worse Iāve never had anyone roll their eyes at me so much in my life and the tone in her voice was truly DISGUSTING. I politely told her she didnāt need to remake the burger and i would just take the cheese in the box and she basically threw it in my car. Iām so beyond unimpressed this was my first time at this a&w and Iāll NEVER go here again I felt so disrespected and disgusted. You are giving this location a bad name and I hope no one ever goes through this. She will do this to the wrong person one day and they wonāt be as polite as me. Ā Ā Ā Read moreWaited almost thirty minutes for my food, from the time I entered the drive thru to when I finally received it. When I got home, several items were wrong despite the employee reading back my order correctly and double-checking again at the window. This location is clearly understaffed and the employees seem to be undertrained and overwhelmed, even when customers are ordering basic items. I donāt mind a wait at most places as long as the food turns out good, but waiting a half-hour for a messed up order and seeing other cars and delivery drivers quickly driving off with their food during that period feels wrong. As things currently are at this location, I do not think I will be returning. I understand that one person not going back wonāt really hurt their bottom line and I do not seek anything to make me return. I just hope that maybe the right people can read this and understand that many changes need to be made at this location, particularly with staffing and wait times. I donāt place the blame on the staff, itās the higher ups in management and the owner that need to be held accountable for service failures...
