Andy's Place — Restaurant in Ontario

My family has been dining here for over 2 decades. We have a 3 strikes rule for establishments and we've watched this place go downhill, moreso over the last year to the point we will not be returning. Strike 1-ordered 2 panzerotti, one all meat and one vegetarian. Neither box had been labeled. While still standing at the counter we asked if they happened to know which was which. The cook came over, was quite annoyed and ripped one of them open with his bare hands that he was just handling raw meat with. It was the vegetarian and due to cross contamination alone, asked for it to be remade. He did so and was complaining the entire time about it. At this point I was ready to just get my money back, didn't even eat it because of everything. Once we were home we also realized that we were given meat sauce for a vegetarian. Everyone has a bad day now and then so we chalked it up to that and waited over 6 months to return (Pre Covid)..edit-just read this happened to someone else 4 years ago!!! I can't believe this was a regular occurrence! Strike 2-ordered a panzerotti with bacon, ham and mushrooms. The bacon was real bacon strips that were still raw. Strike 3-when I placed the order I ordered a clubhouse and specifically asked if the turkey was real turkey. She said it was so I ordered it (was going to order something else if it wasn't). It was deli meat, very slimy deli meat at that. Sad that what was once one of our families favorite places go downhill so...

Portions are HUGE, and the staff a very friendly. I will admit the food was OK, it wasn't outstanding. We had the deep fried Panzerotti and it was ok. They didn't skimp of the filling, so it was stuffed to the max. However, the quality of the filling wasn't all that great. There was a lot of fat on the beef bits inside of it. Also, the sauce put on top taste like it came out of a can. So maybe if we got the sauce on the side instead of on top it might have been a little better. The size of the dish was huge, and we split it between 2 people and we both left full.

We also ordered a Calzone, and it was GREAT. The crust was super good and taste, and there was plenty of filling inside it was well. I would recommend this.

We had one kids of chicken fingers, and well it's chicken fingers what else can you say.

We did see several people order their pizzas, and they are very large and looked very good. If we were to go back next time we are in town, I think we would get the pizza. But being honest, and hey that's what reviews are all about right! I don't think we would rush back...

Well I drove over 500 km to come take my family to this awesome place or what I remembered it was…. I have been watching my whole family eat their meals as I get to sit and wait for my order to be started. The restaurant is not packed and there is plenty staff In The kitchen and on the floor. I was offered some over cooked mozzarella stick they are burnt like my mother meal beside me. I have bin praising this establishment for over 15 years and have come to the conclusion that once they switched owners It has completely dissolved into a poorly ran business. We ordered 8 meals and not one was even close to the taste any of us recall. I was just brought the bill and they tried charging me for things I never ordered. It’s appearing that maybe it’s the front of the house is the problem. I sled for no receipt and she still gave me one.
