2nd time picking up pizza here. Last time I arrived and my order was messed up, so this time, I ordered online at 430pm for a 645pm pickup. I called in to make sure they got my order at 6pm (family was hungry and I was picking up dinner after work). When I arrived my order was NOT ready, I was told 5 minutes. So I paid 93$ for 2 small keto pizzas, 2 lbs of wings and one XL pizza. After 5 minutes they tell me they burnt the large one, and the manager said I could take it home and he would deliver a fresh one. So I agreed, (since my other food was ready). But instead of doing what the manager asked, the cooking staff remade the burnt pizza. At 7:15pm they brought my re made pizza (hot) and my other orders (keto pizza and wings). I arrived home and (of course) the wings and keto pizzas were cold (been sitting for over a half hour while they remade the pizza). While I was waiting a delivery guy came back twice , and was confused that I was still there. It’s too bad they are so extremely disorganized, because the pizza (if hot) is good. Being that they messed up my order 2/2 times, and made me wait 30+mins both times (even though I ordered online hours earlier and called to make sure it would be ready) I will never come back. Beware of extreme unorganized chaos. Even the delivery driver had to call both deliveries since they didn’t have the address. “Good Luck getting your food” he commented the second time. And to whomever orders pizza on a Friday here I repeat his phrase : Good luck...
Read moreWas excited to finally try this pizza place - was disappointed. We chose to order Panzerotti for the family. I was a bit confused as “Apollo Pizza & Wings” is no where to be found on the storefront or inside and it didn’t have the distinct pizzeria smell that I expected when walking in, it only smelt like Indian food. I asked if I was in the right place and was told no - I went to leave and someone else came running out saying “yes yes Apollo pizza come in”. Pick up was an ok (I guess) experience, I missed their initial call and tried calling back multiple times but no answer (counter staff fought me on this saying I never called back and I had to show my call history). Got the food, drove home, cut them open and the dough was still half raw, packed it all up and took it back because I’m not feeding my family undercooked Panzerotti we paid over $60 for. Counter staff then “inspected” my pizza, picked it apart in front of me, fought me over it saying it was cooked (it was most definitely not) but she would make me new ones - I requested a refund. She then went to the back and spoke to her coworkers in their native tongue, and then 5 minutes later came back to finally give me a refund. Customer service could use quite a bit of work and so could the...
Read moreThere's a little saying in the shop, that states "Come in as a customer, leave as a friend." Truer words could not be spoken. The food itself is always fresh, hot (almost burn-your-mouth hot - a bonus) and tasty. The folk working the family-friendly pizzaria are folk you would invite to your own home. The fire and ice wings are a work of art - and the staff are always willing to work a custom order. (Think pizza, only with garlic, pesto and cheese only as a Wednesday evening treat.) There is always music playing - the soda pop fridges are usually full and there's also an arrangement of coin-op toy stands for the impatient youngster or young-at-heart. I also appreciate the thoughtfulness the place puts into the food it serves - wings are not deep fried - they're sort of roasted-fried, leaving flavour, removing unnecessary calories and fat. We have yet to find a flavour of wings that we don't like here - but again, that fire and ice seasoning/sauce is our favourite. Pizza toppings are spread evenly, we'd say, and a goodly variety to choose from. This place has been in London for a long, LONG time; with good reason. It's now our favourite pizza parlour, and even when we move out of the "immediate" area, we're going to be ordering from Apollo...
