Best rotisserie chicken I’ve had. And who doesn’t like a nice rotisserie chicken and heaps of great french fries?? You can get ribs and baked potato’s too. We don’t live in London but we’re told by local friends that Imperio Dos Frangos has been around for a long time, so it must have good food. They often run out of chicken on busy nights so there is lots of demand. We call ahead with our order to ensure the meals can be guaranteed. The women that seem to run the restaurant are efficient and friendly. The restaurant itself is small, with limited seating, but clean. There are drink offerings as well as often Portuguese bread rolls in bags to take home, and perhaps some pastries. We order the food at least once every time we come to visit London. Love the place. Easy to get to as well on Hamilton Road. Not a lot of parking so you might have to park along a...
Read moreAfter watching a local YouTube food critic channel "Dave Drew" give a review on Imperio Dos Frangos, I decided to give it a try. My family and I are so glad we did. I ordered the family meal the day before, after I heard they sell out fast. 2 chickens, enough fries to feed a small village, large gravey and your choice of pops or a large bottle of Sumol, a fruit beverage from Portugal. The rotisserie chicken is seriously the best chicken I have ever had! I ordered the medium sauce outstanding. I might try the spicy one next time. Fries, I think are fresh cut delicious! The gravey had a little different taste but everyone loved it! All of this for like 45 bucks! We can't wait to try their other menu items. What a fantastic little shop! Pumping out the quality! This might be a once a month thing for us! Prices are very fair! Keep up the great work Imperio...
Read moreI've been here a few times before I have now decided to write this review. I have tried the chicken and it was meh just chicken. I have tried the mini potatoes as growing up I used to eat a friend of mines Mom's potatoes that were of this style...they also were meh just potatoes. I did love the fries until this past visit when I walked in I smelt rancid oil but was hoping maybe it had just been changed but no when I got home I could smell the rancid on the fries...had a few which made me feel really ill. That is the problem with independent places...they only have themselves to answer to and it's up to them when they want to change their oil....apparently they didn't want to change their oil our of cheapness or laziness not sure but they give their customers at least that day bad rancid fries. I won't...
