I was a regular, ordered food atleast twice a week. However, that had to change due to the quality of the customer service I received the last couple of times from the same employee. I get take out over my lunch break and I call ahead to place my order for pick up as I don’t have much time to wait around. I kindly ask that they provide me with a time in which my food will be ready for me to pick it up and quickly pay for it. The brunette with the glasses at take out does absolutely great, however the other brunette always misleads me into coming in thinking my food will be ready for a certain time and then makes me wait an extra 20 mins. So last time, I asked her 3 times on the phone if the food will be ready by the time she gave me and she confirmed all 3 times that it would be. I even show up 10 mins past the time she tells me and I still have to wait another 20 mins. So when I placed my order over the phone, she told me 25 mins and 50 mins later I received my food. When I asked her to speak with a manager, she claimed there wasn’t a manager in at that time. Then when I explained to her why I place pick up orders and can’t wait 20 mins, she said it wasn’t her problem and tried insinuating I don’t know how restaurants work. I also brought up to her attention that I had asked for not well done chicken and she gave me the most well done chicken I have ever seen, and again she told me it wasn’t her problem. So she’s taking my order wrong and she’s giving me inaccurate pick up times, but it’s not her problem? Should be when you’re misleading a customer constantly and giving attitude rather than providing solutions, or even so much as an apology. The chicken is absolutely delicious but it’s not worth putting up with this. Very disappointing, I even tried calling for the manager on a different day and same girl picked up and told me he wasn’t...
Read moreVery Bad Customer service on March 17th. Called the place earlier talked to the owner to see what time they closed. They said at 10 pm. we said can we come aroung 5- 5:30, (reply) yes anytime. So from Kitchener On. we drove down to London got there not quite 6pm. A young man said he would put a couple of tables together we were a group of 4. The place was pretty busy. In the mean time 2 separate couples came in. In the meantime a woman comes out of the kitchen and asks us if we had reservation we said no. She said she could not seat us because she was waiting for a group of 8 coming in that we would have to wait. In the meantime the 2 couples that came in after us who also did not have reservations were seated. after over a half an hour wait. A couple got up and left and the gentleman finally put the 2 tables together and sat us down. The woman saw us sitting there and came out of the bar ranting really loud and waving that we could not sit because they were waiting for their party to arrive. she went into the kitchen and started yelling at this poor server who had seated us. meanwhile there was a group of over 10 people just finishing up, they had their doggy bags in their hand. She said you dont have a reservation you cannot sit down. I said to her you sat down the other 2. I couples who also had no reservations. (her reply) I dont care I need those tables. She was so loud and made a huge scene. We were embarrased and I said nicely I dont want any drama, You need to take a chill pill. There were a few people waiting for take out beside us. One gentleman said no she needs 2 chill pills. And we left. We frequent this restaurant quite often. Never had an issue. she was rude loud and very...
Read moreMy father and uncle came into London on good Friday and being that we have a Portuguese heritage I thought this would be a perfect place to have dinner and it was. I did make reservations thinking it would be busy on good Friday but there was plenty of seating. Restaurant is basically one big room with a small bar and a number large TVs. Lots of different beverages available but we had the Super Bock while my wife sampled a white wine rom their list. If you are looking to try some authentic Portuguese food, you won't be disappointed closing to eat here. Check ahead because each day of the week has a specific specialty dish because the traditional dishes are more difficult to make. For example, the roasted pig is only really available on Saturdays. Hreat buffet on Sundays as well for brunch. My father and uncle had the bacalhau a braz (baked cod dish dinners served with fries mixed in), my wife has the fish filet dinner and I sampled the fish sandwich with roasted potatoes. Serving sizes were great and food was served nice and hot. If you do choose one of the more traditional dishes, it does take some time to prepare but it is a great place to talk and laugh while you wait. Needless to say the server and service was great and was able to answer all our questions. You go not need to be able to speak Portuguese here to order and the servers can provide detailed information regarding each dish. Needless to say this was not our first time here and it won't be our last. They also have a locations in Cherryhill mall and...
