I went there for the 1st time today with My Mom, My daughter & My Grandson. A while later My other daughter showed up. From the time We got there the waitress who was working alone, was very attentive. She didn't leave Us waiting at all. She took Our drink orders right away. She watched to see when We were ready to order or almost ready. She was extremely attentive & knowledgeable. I asked her what 1 of the pictures they had on the menu was, she knew right away. I asked her about Vegan options because my youngest daughter was joining Us. She went to the trouble of asking the cook. This appears to be a family run establishment. Hard working people. All 4 orders were done right , very quick & extremely fresh. Within 5 minutes the Cook even came over to ask how everything was. It was an EXTREMELY refreshing change. Although it wasn't busy the waitress didn't go off to be on her cell phone or anything else, She kept checking in with Us for the free refills on the Pop, water & coffee. The prices were extremely reasonable especially for a sit down, fresh to order meal- No worse then prices at any fast food chain. I only Wish there were just a couple other food options besides Salad for my Vegan daughter. They even have Shaws ice cream & a reasonable dessert menu. They serve breakfast all day, plus the Usual; wraps, appetizers, sandwiches, burgers & even things like Chicken Parm., Steak, Fish & Chips, Fresh fruit bowls, poutine, deep fried pickles, bruschetta, fresh waffles & pancakes with additions such as whipped cream, cinnamon, blueberries, chocolate chips, even milkshakes & a couple 12 & under meals for the kiddies. They virtually had something for everyone! It was a clean restaurant with a nice atmosphere, extremely friendly, attentive & caring staff. It Can't be easy for them since Covid. PLEASE GIVE THEM YOUR FULL SUPPORT EAST LONDON- You won't regret it- I PROMISE!!!! 🙏This was an EXTREMELY REFRESHING, PLEASANT & SATISFYING experience that My Grandson who's 12 recommended. Disappointed with Service and Communication

I visited this restaurant with my sister’s brother-in-law and my niece to celebrate her baptism. We were seated at 11:21 AM and placed our breakfast order shortly after. By 12:05 PM, I noticed our food had been sitting on the counter for at least 10 minutes, while five different servers had walked by it multiple times without bringing it to our table.

Given that we had ordered a simple breakfast—eggs and toast—we were concerned about the quality of the food by the time it would have reached us, especially since toast and eggs don’t hold heat well and quickly lose their taste when left to sit.

We ultimately decided to pay for the coffee ($2.99 for a small cup) and leave without eating. Unfortunately, no staff member checked in or offered an explanation or update on our order during our wait. Even a quick conversation or the option to serve part of the table earlier could have made a difference.

Customer service seems to be slipping, and communication with guests was noticeably lacking. A little attention and acknowledgment from just one of the five servers could have turned this experience around. I hope management takes note and works toward improving the service experience for...

Butterbites is a hidden gem! My dad and I have been going here every week or every 2 weeks for the past few years, back when it was Mary's Place, and Butterbites has been a fantastic upgrade ever since they took over.

The food is fantastic and they have dishes that sound like they shouldn't work but somehow do amazingly well. Currently eating a delicious bruschetta omelette, and I recommend the chicken and waffle too, yum yum! They do also have more traditional breakfast/lunch fare, and my dad gets the same thing every week. He really appreciates both the consistency and quality of the food, it's always good and just how he likes it. We joke that we've never had a bad meal here, and it's funny because it's true, everything here is great. And on the /very/ rare times that there's been a small issue, it's been rectified immediately.

The service is also wonderful, and all of the staff is kind, helpful, and personable. They regularly go out of their way to help and make accommodations if needed, and they're just a super nice crew of people, both front and back of house.

This place is just an absolute pleasure to eat at and I'm looking forward already to my next visit on...
