Never ordering here again. I deliver uber, and get told different things every time I come in. A week ago, an employee got mad at me for asking at the counter for a pick up order, they said delivery drivers need to check the shelf for orders to keep “flow” going. This is also the case at all other Taco Bells in London, but for some reason this location likes to change things each time someone comes in (some employees say I have to ask, others say just grab it). There are also always at least 6-7 employees, yet half the time they take more than 20 mins for one order and food instructions are barely ever followed.
Today I came in after making my own order in the Taco Bell app, and no employees were at the front and the shelf clearly said pick-up orders. An employee then talked extremely quietly from the drive-thru area and I could not understand what she was saying, so I said my name and that I am just picking up my order and I reached to grab it. I really had to get going due to a phone meeting I had to take in my car for work, and she kept talking but I still could not hear her, so I continued grabbing my own food which was on the shelf with my name visible. I said I couldn’t hear her again and she came over and for the third time quietly said I cannot grab my own food and go and that i have to “check with an employee.” I told her I had already checked that my name is on it since there were no employees available, and I had already told her my name, and that I was told last time just to grab it; I then went to grab my food and another employee came around asking if I had asked an employee if I could take (once again) my own food. I do admit I was stern but I was annoyed at this point as I ordered on the app for the convenience of ordering, and picking up as soon as I arrive so I don’t gave to wait. I always order in the app at the location on Wonderland and Southdale + Hydepark, and I always take my food if it is sitting on the shelf, so I am unsure why this location has to make it so complicated.
I have also cancelled more than 10 uber pickups from here in the last month due to excessive wait time. I made sure to order with enough time to ensure my food would be ready. If they don’t want customers taking their own food, they should not have the shelf easily accessible when entering the restaurant and they should have an employee readily...
Read moreUpdate (October 2023): I'm sad to report that after the extensive renovations the quality of the food at this location has plummeted! I'd like to start by saying I've been going to Taco Bell for many years, and I realize that it's a fast food place...but I do expect reasonable quality for my money. The night in question we ordered two Chicken Bacon Club Chalupa Big Box meals, 2 Beefy 5-layer burritos, and 2 Bean burritos via the drive-thru...what a huge disappointment! The fries were barely warm (we ate them quickly in the parking lot), and when we got to the house we found a squashed greasy mess in the bag (see attached photos). The food came immediately after we paid, as if it was pre-made, not made fresh to order, as it's supposed to be. The filling was sparse, and it looked like it was just thrown together (see photos). Not sure if it's just the night staff on Monday, Oct. 16th, but after reading many of the recent reviews on here it looks like the quality of food has dropped for many others as well. It's too bad, they have lost a loyal customer as I'll be checking out other locations.
Original Review: Stopped by on Thursday night...this is my third time visiting this location. The portion size and quality is much better then any Taco Bell in Brampton, where I live. I see many folks on here complaining about the restaurant being dated...but my fiancé and I enjoy the retro location and love the old decor; I’m impressed with how well they’ve been able to maintain it. I rated them 4 out of 5 for two reasons: 1) they could really use an update/fix in the washrooms, 2) they should really stop using cleaners with ammonia in it...makes the place have a slight...
Read moreI have never gone to this Taco Bell for years until I have visited for the first time since it was renovated. I ordered myself 4 burritos and my brother bought himself a combo. We went somewhere else to eat during a rainy day in London, Ontario. When we started eating. The burrito taste like a paste, and I give one to my brother hence he could not take another bite and he give me his other burrito. I had no choice but to eat it since it was paid for even food prices have gone up it is bad to waste food to be thrown into rubbish. My brother said he got wanted two soft tacos, but he ended up getting the two hard tacos. He did not have a fork to eat his Fries Supreme and the staffs forgot his Cinnamon Twist dessert. The staffs were new, and they did not do its job right at the first place even they were busy taking orders for delivery services. The food taste like a pastry feel, and same for the Taco Bell the one near John Paul II Catholic Secondary School and inside Masonville Mall. At least the Taco Bell inside Masonville Mall gets our orders right than the one on Dundas. How can they messed up someone’s order and they said it from their mouth what they wanted. The staffs should be retrain and improve their customer service. This may be the last time eating Taco Bell. I would rather go to downtown to support local Mexican inspired businesses or go to Chipotle Mexican Grill at the north side of the city just across from Masonville Mall. If you want to waste your money you work hard for that will messed up your orders and the food taste strange. Taco Bell on Dundas Street in London, Ontario is for you. Next time, I am eating at Chipotle across...
