We were finally able to visit this new restaurant last weekend, we've been looking forward to doing so for some time now. Upon entering, it looks lovely and spotless. The servers are very friendly and even though it was close to closing time, they waved us in...much appreciated. Even the owners came over to chat, which was nice. I ordered a Caesar salad and the trout dinner, and my husband had a Greek salad and the fish and chips. Food was tasty enough, but the trout dinner entre was a bit smaller then we are used to for the money spent. (We come from a larger city every weekend to our cottage in the area here, and have dined in pretty much every establishment from Niagara to Hagersville). The thing that shocked us was the price of wine and beer!! It was quite extortionate compared to anywhere else. We did not come to specifically drink (good thing) but do enjoy an alcoholic beverage with our dinner, as probably most folks do when out for the evening. A bit shocked to say the least. All in all not a bad experience, but will probably not return as much...

We had planned to head to Caruso's for dinner afterwards but, by the time we got there, it was 7:50 and their sign on the door said that their Saturday hours were until 8pm. However, instead of turning us away, they wholeheartedly welcomed us in and told us to take a seat.
Not only did they allow us to stay until almost 9pm, they did so with absolutely amazing customer service! Our waitress was super friendly and just absolutely lovely!
The food was delicious and one member of our party claimed that the homemade burger that he had was the one of the best restaurant burgers he's ever had. We also really enjoyed the Caruso Lager, an in-house brew courtesy of Railway City Brewing Co. in St. Thomas.
Not only will I definitely go back to Caruso's the next time I'm in the area but I highly recommend everyone else check it out too...you won't be...
Read moreFinally took the opportunity to stop at this little gem of a restaurant - and even better being a Friday it was fish and chips for the special day !! To be honest the wait staff was attentive and accommodating with all of our requests.
My partner in crime for the day ordered soup and tea to start - he indicated the soup was the best he had and the tea was spot on - We both ordered fish and chips - I ordered the one piece and my partner ordered the two piece - within a very short period of time we had fresh hot food placed in front of us and couldn’t wait to try it . As it looks it was perfecting batters with a thin batter and perfectly brown and inside the fish was wonderfully cooked / the fries were hand cut made In house and perfectly cooked as well.
It was definitely worth the stop and enough food that neither of us could eat everything g offered on the plates.
If you have the opportunity to dine at this local establishment do it !!! Especially if it’s Friday and you can have fish...
