Chopped Leaf — Restaurant in Ontario

My husband and I were looking for a light dinner option. We had heard many great reviews on the local London restaurant Facebook page and decided to try it out. I ordered the Bangkok bowl and my husband ordered the Buffalo bowl. Mine was dry and lacking in sauce and substance. My husband seemed to enjoy the flavour of his bowl, however, we were both incredibly disappointed with the portion sizes. Based on the prices ($11.99 for a simple salad with a bit of rice and no protein), we likely won’t be dining here again. It’s very frustrating that after spending nearly $25 for dinner, we had to cook something else at home to eat, as we were both still hungry.

EDIT: I have changed our review to 3 stars. The owner reached out and offered us a $25 gift card to give them another try. We decided to dine at the Wellington Road location the second time around. Although the portion sizes were a bit better, we were still left hungry and...

My first visit was nothing less than a disaster (I concluded that it was a staff learning experience). The salad was best described as a bowl of un-chopped leaves, and the other un-tossed ingredients virtually invisible (Each of the seven ingredients measured, I imagine, by the size of a table spoon). The second visit, given the benefit of doubt, indicated slightly more ingredients but, still, un-tossed. Questioning this phenomenon, the explanation given was, "Customers were complaining that the ingredients became invisible when tossed." Ah ha! (I thought) So much for 'training' -- fewer ingredients are, apparently, company policy. Wendy and her many franchises will be delighted at this news, as her many excellent chicken salads are well beyond the quality of the un-chopped salads presented here. PS. Disappointing I have to say. Ordered on line 2 Bangkok bowls and as the menu states it has chow mien noodles (both bowls received with rice): added warning ‘ extra spicy dressing ‘ which we looked forward to - not even spicy at all. On line ordering is a complete disception (pay first - find out later ) The quality of the food acceptable but had far more quality and portion in Airdrie, Alberta’s location.
