It’s frustrating when you place an order for a product/ service and are immediately given the rolled eyes. To add to that frustration it’s annoying when a barista uses malicious compliance in an attempt to dissuade further orders by taking as much time as possible to complete your order. Ordering “ pour overs “ beI know it takes time to make, so I’ll apologize for placing an order you dislike to do but I know it only takes up to few minutes to make so when a barista takes the long way around it wastes my time as well as yours. I watched while 5 mobile orders , 5 drive through orders and at least three other customers took priority over making my order in a timely manner. On top of that I watched an employee start a new pot of coffee faster than my pour over was started. ( woulda been less labour to just offer the blonde roast I ordered). Read moreIt’s unfortunate that I have to do this, but I have just had the most inconsistent and inconvenient experiences with this particular Starbucks.
Let me preface this, by saying I was a previous Starbucks partner, at park-park and Masonville mall, spanning a number of years of service. I know what it’s like to work at Starbucks, the pressure and the importance of an experience that has parity across every location.
I have had so many incorrectly made beverages from this location, primarily via the drive through. Why do I continue to pay so much money when I cannot guarantee that the coffee I get is correctly made? It’s really not that difficult. Repeatable routine is there for a reason, so this doesn’t happen. We are on the way to work, and it’s impossible to turn around and go back to correct this issue this time.
Please do better. I haven’t been a Starbucks partner for many, many years, and I’m 100% certain I could do a better job, at peak morning...
Read moreMost of the staff was lovely, the one older lady who took my order wasn’t super friendly but not rude. CONS My issue with this location is the cleanliness, there is lots of food on the floor and under the chairs. It’s possible it’s from today but it’s pretty early for that much to accumulate. There’s drink splashed on the chairs and I had to grab a napkin and wipes the chair, armrest and table off before sitting. Once seated I also noticed the mould on the window sill beside my chair. Lastly the staff member who came out to fill the cream, emptied the garbage and some liquid spilled out and it was left on the floor (at least 10min now). Huge liability. I would come again for convenience but probably not to sit because it is dirty. PROS It was nice that it wasn’t as busy and you could get a seat.
