The Gozen Sushi restaurant is one of the most superb and coziest restaurants I have visited along all my life. If you are looking for a familiar environment place, with a cozy and warm atmosphere, this is the restaurant you are looking for. And once here you will taste the best Japanese and Korean cuisine, with elegantly crispy, torched and fresh pieces of several amazing creations made by the remarkable cooks.
And I take this advantage to pay the server Ellie a very special compliment. Because she is a young and extremely restless and committed associate who always assist all customers at their tables with passionate spirit and incredible intrepidity.
The server Melly also deserves a beautiful compliment for being a passionate and enthusiast professional in the performance of her work as well.
The servers never stop for one second, and always keep worried of all of us (client) only to provide a service with extreme excellence.
Hence this is definitely one of the best oriental restaurants that life allowed me to visit and taste its amazing cuisine.
And, Soyoung she is a remarkable professional that is always performing her work with great ability, commitment and dedication to the clients and her team, as well. She also deserves our respect and admiration as a great professional!
I DO recommend it!

Get the same sushi at Sobeys for half the price. The atmosphere is "bus station diner". You haven't updated the place since it opened... what... 10 years ago? Paint a wall maybe. Turn down the lights a little its blinding in there.
Climate control = bring a sweater. Fish cuts were thin and even rice portions were small. Couldn't be bothered to put ginger and wasabi on our plates. Starter salad and miso soup were half the size I've had anywhere else. Apparently my son who was sharing our food didn't deserve his own plate or napkin. You put raw fish on hot rice. You put hot shrimp against raw salmon and cooked an edge of it. I'm not sure the purpose of the 6pt font on the (never cleaned) menu...but you should offer magnifying glasses at the door and maybe some bleach.
2x6piece regular rolls 28 pcs of sushi 2x 1/2 size ptns of miso soup and salad =almost $90?
no drinks, only tea.
If I have to come home and make dinner after I've taken my family out to eat, you didn't even save me the time cooking or doing dishes.
Considering what I can get just up the street for the same price, you've left me feeling ripped off and wondering what all the rave reviews on here are all about. I call B.S.
We ate here years ago and it was great... not this time, and...
Read moreTonight was another sushi night. This time at Gozen Sushi. After seeing pictures on Google Maps, I was hooked.
This is, once again, another restaurant with a large menu. There is a lot of sushi, udon noodles, rice bowls, and ramen. For beverages beer, wine, and sake are available; as well as soda, orange juice, and iced tea.
One thing caught my eye: Kobe sashimi. I ordered this, and my mouth salivated during the wait. This is a famous type of beef grown in Japan, similar to Wagyu beef. Unfortunately, this was just sashimi in the style of Kobe the city in Japan. There was no Kobe beef. The sashimi came with miso soup and a small salad.
Then, I ordered some spicy seafood udon noodles. This dish was a soup and it was… amazing. The spicy broth was a deep red, and within it were shrimp, mussels, grated carrots, and scallions. The udon were long and chewy in a really good way.
Their dessert menu had three options. Ice cream, merona, or green tea cheesecake. I picked the cheesecake. It was pastel green. I didn’t taste the green tea at all, but it had a light, sweet flavour.
My bill came to only $57. I was pleased.
