Overall, bad. If you want a steak, don't waste your money here. If you want a burger, any fast food place is better.
First of all, we waited around 50 minutes before getting our seat. That's understandable because it was very busy. Next, we had a waitress ask us for our drinks, then not show up for another 20 minutes. I had to wave down the waitress to get our order taken. We were a family of 6, and we ordered one rack of ribs, 2 appetizers, 3 steaks and a burger.
After ordering, it took a full HOUR to get our food. Multiple tables who came in after us, got their food before us. The table directly beside us came in nearly half an hour after us, got their food first. We asked the waitress about it, and she said because we have 6 people and multiple steaks. I'm not sure how their system works, or if they have an expediter, but having 6 people shouldn't mean getting food last. Everyone had 4 to 6 people at their table. Having 3 steaks shouldn't matter, it's a steak house. Having 3 steaks, or 6 people doesn't excuse getting food last. Just go to the kitchen and solve the problem. We were also missing our appetizers that should have came out first, but didn't.
So after an hour we recieved our food. We wanted our steaks medium rare, but we expected them to over cook it, so we ordered rare. As we expected, they came out medium. Not even medium rare. No pink at all. You'd expect a steak house cooking steak properly, or even close to properly.
My burger on the other hand, the worst Burger I've had. After seeing the reviews, I should have known not to order the burger. Dry. Overcooked. No sauce. No condiments. Tiny tomato and embarassing slices of pickles. I asked for condiments, and they told me they had to charge extra for mayo. Wait what? I understand the cheap prices, but THIS cheap? Ended up packing it up. If you want a burger, go to Harvey's or any fast food place, you'll actually get sauces on your burger.
Overall, spent almost 3 hours there. Bill also came out to $131. Not as cheap as you'd think. Don't waste your time or your money. Terrible wait times, bad service, noticeably cheap food. Poor quality and poor cooking quality. Standards need to...
Read moreMy girlfriend and I have become frequent patrons of Chuck's Roadhouse, and after trying different locations, we found that the Clarke Road branch in particular stands out as the best. Our visits have always been met with delicious food and an affordable menu.
The star of the show at Chuck's Roadhouse is undoubtedly their steaks. Cooked to perfection, these mouthwatering cuts of meat are reasonably priced, making it an excellent value for the quality they offer. The tenderness and flavor of their steaks consistently leave us satisfied and eager for our next visit.
One aspect that sets Chuck's Roadhouse apart is their appetizers. The menu offers a diverse range of starters, all of which have impressed us with their taste and presentation. For the savvy diner, a pro tip is to visit after 9 pm when the appetizers are available at half price. This happy hour deal allows you to enjoy an array of delectable appetizers without breaking the bank.
While the steaks and appetizers have been nothing short of exceptional, we did find that the burgers could use a little improvement. While they are undoubtedly tasty and satisfying, they sometimes lack the juiciness that would elevate them to the same level as their stellar steaks. However, considering the reasonable price point, the burgers still provide a decent option for a filling meal.
The ambiance at the Clarke Road Chuck's Roadhouse is inviting, and the staff has always been friendly and attentive during our visits. We appreciate the casual and comfortable atmosphere, which complements the overall dining experience.
In conclusion, Chuck's Roadhouse on Clarke Road has consistently provided us with delightful steakhouse experiences. The reasonably priced and delicious steaks are the highlight of the menu, while the appetizers add a perfect touch to the overall meal. While the burgers could be juicier, they remain a solid choice for budget-conscious diners. If you're looking for a satisfying meal in a welcoming environment, Chuck's Roadhouse on Clarke Road is well...
Read moreI was a loyal guest to this Chuck’s location since I moved here and I would like to write a review about the terrible experience I had with the manager today.
A few days ago I dropped in for the same dinner I have every single time I visit a Chucks location. The server started with asking me with what drink I’d like. But wait they’re out of an ingredient of that, would you like to try this? Meanwhile I look over at another table and it looks like other guests are getting the drink that was supposedly out of stock!
Next it’s time to order my meal. They’re out of stock of the cut of meat I wanted. That’s fine, I’ll try another cut. But it wasn’t as filling and I had to pay an additional 13$ to pay for another menu item to fill me up.
I am so frustrated when I get the bill with no apology whatsoever or a comp and I leave still paying a tip.
Now today I come back hoping I could clear this up with the manager on the floor and instead he makes it worse. He argues with me and cuts me off and never apologizes.
Where I have a problem is that a restaurant chain especially in a plaza with a grocery store and a liquor store couldn’t find any way to make me a meal that’s literally on their menu and I at least thought I could rely on to be available for me to order whenever I walked in their door at any time their doors are open.
Instead I get a barrage of condescension and rudeness by the manager and it was intensely so frustrating and the only thing that made it better today was the server waiting on me. I could tell she was going out of her way to make my experience better.
But all in all I will never return to that location I must say. Even if it the most convenient location wise for me, this experience has turned me off completely. I have tried all locations in London and know where I’ll be treated with respect.
