We order Doolys ALL the time & we love it! We get great customer service from Abdul (the guy). Today, we paid $.99 extra PER chicken plate to get extra garlic. When our food came, we have NO extra garlic, and actually less garlic then usual because they filled half the plate with hummus. (By the way, I have NEVER had hummus on my chicken plate). I called and spoke with a lady. She argued with me that I didnt pay for extra garlic. I told her I have the receipt right here, and we paid $.99 per plate for extra garlic. She THEN changed her story to "we put extra garlic in the container already". I specifically told her that we order from Doolys multiple times a week, and we always get garlic sauce in the plate, and also extra on the side in a container. That's what we pay for. I asked to speak to someone else because she was being aggressive. She said she was the only one working there, even though I could hear people in the background. She then proceeded to speak over me, tell me I was wrong, and that it was NOT HER PROBLEM and hung up on me. Never returning. Not paying for food I...
Read moreI have tried to eat here 4 times now and was only successful twice. 1st time and 3rd time were fine, food was enjoyed and blah blah blah. 2nd attempt, I ordered a beef platter for pick up. When I showed up I was told they only had chicken and they could switch chicken in for me instead of beef. What? I ordered a beef platter and took time out of my day to come pick it up and they didnt have the courtesy to let me know they didnt have any beef when I ordered. Strike 1. Thursday, I again gave Doolys a try and ordered dinner for my dad and I for delivery. I received a text with a receipt and another 1 stating it would be delivered in 45 minutes(both of which I still have). The weather had been unkind the last few days so I gave them the benefit of the doubt and waited 2 hours. I proceeded to call the number available on THEIR website only to get the runaround from whoever answered saying they would call other place and check to see if my order was.....blah blah blah. Food never showed up. Strike 2. Needless to say, wont bother wasting my time with this...
Read moreThey couldn't wrap if their life depended on it :) I really dislike the way they 'wrap' shawarma in Lebanese bread/pita. They leave both ends opened and half of the food ends up on the table or your pants. Lebanese bread supposed to be cut open and then wrapped! Have you ever tried eating your own creations? It's super annoying. Try going to other places in London to see how they wrap (and learn). I think Shawarma House in Byron wraps this kind of bread in the cleanest way, but even the way they do it at Pita Pit would be better than the current situation.
Besides wrapping, shawarma is pretty good, especially when you visit at the time when they have fresh meat. Sometimes when it's slow you'll get meat that was cut before and just waits there being kept warm. That one isn't the best as sometimes it will smell kind of fishy (I think it's just oils going bad or sth, I never got sick there).
I continue to visit because it's close, if they fix wrapping I think this is...
