London Palace — Restaurant in Ontario

I don’t normally leave reviews but The London Palace absolutely deserves one. Restaurants like these simply are rare to come by, and this one is a gem. The food was incredible, and the service was outstanding. We had the mixed kabab platter and the beef kebab wrap. Upon entering we were greeted by the lovely owner, Tittos, who offered complimentary lentil soup at the get go. The ambience of the restaurant is lovely, extremely clean and open. From there, the food was quickly served, and very fresh. The kebabs were perfectly cooked, seasoned, and had so much variety, with fantastic value for money. The portions are way beyond what we expected in the best way, as well the variety provided from the different rices in one meal, to the attention to detail overall (salads, crisps, etc). We also needed a charger and the owner was kind enough to offer us to keep the iPhone charger he lent us, even. Before leaving, Titto also offered us complimentary tea, and provided one of the best chai’s we’ve had. His company exudes warmth, kindness and genuine care for his customers. He truly treated us like family with his immense hospitality. Tittos wore his heart on his sleeve, and his enthusiasm is infectious. Tonight was the first time we ate at London Palace and we were very disappointed. We ordered a beef shwarma platter and an Iraqi kebob platter. It says on the menu that it comes with homemade bread and lentil soup. When we were not given the soup or bread and we asked about it, we were told they were "complimentary" and that they did not have any to give us. When she saw that we were upset, our waitress did ask us if we wanted her to bring us some bread and then she brought out some store-bought pita bread like she was doing us a favour. We will not return to this restaurant. Honesty in advertising is important. You should not cheat your customers. You either need to change the wording on your menu, or offer some compensation when you don't have available what you have advertised. At the very least you should let your customer know when they order something, that you can not give them everything that you say is included in the meal, so they can make a decision of whether they still want to...

This was my first time at London Palace, I can definitely say I ate like a King! The chicken, the kebab were EXTREMELY JUICY AND DELICIOUS!! This place knows exactly what theyre doing. From the lentil soup to the beautiful salad they had prepared, I have to say I am very impressed by the quality of food served at that price point! Im a big guy so I always question the portion sizes at restaurants especially when the pricing is low, but they told me not to worry that one portion is more than enough, and they did not disappoint. I was FULL and could not finish my meal. The hummus and garlic sauce have that authentic aroma of the Middle East. It truly felt like I was back home at my aunties house on the Mediterranean. I cant wait to bring my friends and family here as this is my new spot for authentic Arabic cuisine in London. This is truly a hidden gem and will have my business.
