I've been here twice so far, and I can definitely see myself coming back again and again. I really enjoyed the unique food experience—there's a diverse mix of breakfast and lunch dishes from the Middle East as well as Western classics. Sincere kudos for all the effort put into the menu, the ambience and decor, and the great service!

The food has been absolutely delicious. So far, we’ve tried the menemen, pistachio pancakes, chicken Benedict, fahsa, mankousheh, chicken and waffles, and steak omelet. Everything was full of flavor and cooked perfectly, except for the waffles—they crumbled quite a bit and seemed to be made from the same batter as the pancakes. I’d suggest tweaking the waffle recipe to improve the texture. Otherwise, everything was fantastic.

As for drinks, I’ve tried both the karak tea and mocha, and they were excellent. I can't wait to explore more of the menu—there's just so much to try, and the fact that it’s all halal is a huge bonus. Kingston has been in need of a fresh, exciting food spot like this, and this sit-down restaurant truly delivers. My only wish is that they’d stay open a little later to give more time to visit.

One note from my first visit: the food came out at different times, so a couple of us were eating while others were still waiting (we were a group of four). Thankfully, the second visit went much more smoothly and all the food came out quickly and together.

The only real downside is the washroom situation. There’s only one stall for women, no change table for babies, and unclear signage for the men’s washroom. When I asked, I was told it’s the door with both men’s and women’s symbols, but it looked like it needed a key. Hopefully, as the restaurant gets more established, they’ll update the signage and add a baby change table—especially important for a family-friendly place like this.

Overall, I give it a 4.5/5 and will definitely be returning. I genuinely wish them all the best and hope they thrive and grow here...

Eggstatic is an exceptional find; a little treasure of a breakfast spot that is warm and welcoming, yet vibrant and exciting!

Eggstatic innovativly offers diners a fresh take on a breakfast, providing more flavour and much-needed diversity in its fare. With an impressive menu that tempts on each page, Eggstatic pairs familiar Canadian classics with delicious Middle-Eastern recipes. The plates that arrive on your table are eye-catching, hearty and flavourful.

We visited on a Saturday morning in July around 10 AM. The place was full and there was a short line, but we were greeted right away and the hostess promptly found us a table for two. Our friendly and attentive server arrived quickly and ensured that coffee was on it's way.

The coffee was excellent. They had a coffee station and appeared to take it's production seriously. It meant a short-but-worthwhile wait. I just had a coffee with milk, but it was one of the best cups I've had in a long time.

While waiting for breakfast, we received a complimentary plate with a zaatar spice blend, olive oil, and lightly-seasoned crackers. A nice touch, and tasty!

We felt like having Benedicts, so we went with the smoked salmon for one, along with mushroom and spinach for the other. It was nice to have the option of our bennies being served atop an English muffin, croissant, or waffle. We went with waffles. Accompanied by a nice salad, grape tomatoes and fried potatoes, wow! Very impressive, enjoyable, and satisfying.

Bold, creative, diverse and multicultural aren't words normally associated with breakfast place reviews. Well, it's time for a change in expectations and it appears that Eggstatic knows...

Welcome to Kingston! VERY busy new brunch spot where The Grocery Basket used to be. Had to wait 20 min for a table for 1, but this is a new spot so I didn't mind. This is not a sensory friendly place and not accessible if that matters to you. Restroom is downstairs, no hooks in the stalls but hooks in the common area. Very noisy and fragrance. You can hear pretty much hear and smell everything. Not a place for young children as there's not a lot of space. Staff are fairly quick and friendly. I got the Protos Optimus Brunch as I wanted to try a little bit of everything. Beautiful presentation. Large portions. Very STRONG flavours. Falafels felt like a punch of spices. The hummus was deliciously creamy. Pita bread was great but didn't need spices on it because there is a lot going on. Overall, I would come back but not on a weekend and try something more simple. I saw many people order waffles, eggs benedicts and drinks that all looked delicious.
