Response to owners comment😊

We Arrived at the restaurant & really loved the atmosphere.

We ordered dumplings & chicken wings for appetizers and they were okay.

After that, i got the paid thai and my friend got the udon noodles. Presentation was great but i’m sorry we just did not like it. šŸ¤·ā€ā™€ļø We tried a couple bites because telling waitresses you don’t like a meal is extremely awkward, but because it’s a paid service, we thought it shouldn’t be a problem.

We were not close to finishing the meal or the waitresses would not have offered take away containers?šŸ˜‚

Secondly, how would you know?šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚ you didn’t come to our table. you were behind the counter looking at us and whispering with the waitresses.

When we informed the waitress we did not like the meal we were extremely apologetic and we didn’t see her for almost 15 minutes! When she came back she said there is nothing she can do because we do not like the food & can give us 25% off (which is $4.25 off). I have been to many restaurants and seen people say they don’t like a meal & they are usually very understanding. Some people like different things. So her response was very new to us.

I do not really give reviews too much, but the owners response is distasteful & disrespectful to say the least. During our visit, we were neither rude or mean to the wait staff, so your response is also extremely uncalled for.

I always tip, the reason i did not tip is because i was paying for a meal I barely ate lol. And my experience wasn’t a good onešŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚

Lastly, your waitress said we should take the meal home & give it to someone. She then provided take out containers. my friend said we should leave the meal but i said no to avoid any more awkwardness.

It’s unfortunate you respond to customer reviews this way..ew. You didn’t even come to our table to see what was happening so your response is offšŸ˜‚

I was looking for a venue in Windsor to host a baby shower, and thought of Erie Street Gastropub. The owner responded immediately to my inquiry, and we had a meeting arranged soon after. Their private event space is perfect for small events, with a private bathroom. As well, for larger events they have the full restaurant. The owner helped us curate a menu and was phenomenal taking into consideration our budget. They also offer something exceptional, besides our open bar - we were able to include their coffee bar as a part of that option. It was such a treat for our guests to have both options available. On the day of, they went above and beyond accommodating us early to set up, helping us unload. We were able to decorate within a few hours of the event, and the space just looked incredible. There was a good flow between sitting space and space for people to walk around. The staff was incredible, warm, friendly and great at checking on guests. They made incredible cocktails (and had alcoholic free options as well), and really encouraged us to use the rest of the restaurant space for backdrops for photos to capture this memorable event. The food was the best food I’ve had at a private event, I’m so blown away that we were able to offer our guests 8 food items. And again, the communication was unmatched. The owner was checking in constantly to see how everyone was doing, if we needed more. I can’t stop singing Erie Street Gastropub praises, and I highly recommend them to anyone looking for an event space small or large knowing they’ll go the extra mile for you. I’m so beyond thrilled we chose them as our venue, and will be contacting them again...

My wife and I met up with 2 other couples for dinner and a few drinks. Server was very polite and helpful. We ordered drinks and app’s. Most of the group had beer but my wife ordered a margarita. Beer’s were good. But my wife’s drink didn’t seem to have any alcohol in it. I told her to say something but she didn’t. She took our dinner order but assured us it wouldn’t be out until we had finished our app’s. Half way through our app’s our meals showed up. The tables are small leaving us with no room. Also our meals were getting cold as we finished our app’s. Food was good but as mentioned cold before we could get to them. After finishing up the server brought the bill one couple paid on their credit card then noticed they had been charged incorrectly. We sat there for over a half hour as she on multiple occasions tried to correct the bill’s. Finally the owner somewhat got it right. He offered no compensation for the hassle. This in my opinion was worse than everything else that happened. I will spend my entertainment dollar...

The atmosphere of the restaurant was nice and our server was very friendly and attentive. My boyfriend ordered the Bo Kho (braised beef with carrots, taro root, and black sticky rice), I ordered the Singapore Noodles (rice noodles with vegetables, bean sprouts, fried egg, and shrimp), and we shared the Surf & Turf appetizer (tempura shrimp, pork belly, and mango salad). Although the pork belly and tempura shrimp were savoury and full of flavour, the mango salad and the coconut sweet chili sauce that came with the appetizer plate were a bit bland and disappointing. The presentation of the dishes was lovely and the while the entrees tasted good and were filling, it felt liked the flavours were subtle and could have been kicked up a notch or two. So while it was a nice dinner and I'm glad we tried this place, the flavours of most of the dishes that we ordered fell short of my expectations for Asian Fusion cuisine.

We recently visited Erie Street Gastropub to celebrate my wife's birthday, and it was a fantastic experience! The location in Windsor is great, and we found parking conveniently close by, though it was paid parking. We opted to sit inside as it was a bit chilly outside, and the interior atmosphere was really enjoyable—cozy and inviting. The menu had so many delicious options that it was tough to decide what to order, but everything we tried was fantastic. We’re definitely looking forward to coming back to try more from their diverse menu. The draft beer selection was really enjoyable, even though I usually prefer a more extensive draft list over canned options. It’s great to see that they offer canned beers for sale too. Overall, Erie Street Gastropub made for a memorable birthday dinner, and we’ll definitely be returning. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a great meal and a great time!
