We have been meaning to try Boss Bagel and stopped by while we were out and about today. It took 3 passes before finding a parking spot on the street. There was one person in line when we got there so we proceeded to look at the menu. Once we decided, there were 2 more customers and an Uber driver who was angry that the order wasn't ready. We waited about 10 mins to be served at which point they directed us down to the end of the counter to order. This is a little confusing and there is no signage telling us that food/sandwich orders are placed separately from coffee/ 'bagels to go' orders. Regardless, everyone has to pay at the same cashier!

I ordered the pumpernickel bagel with chive & onion cream cheese. I got the last bagel! The bagel itself was definately NY style but seemed a little overcooked. I grew up eating NY style bagels so it could be that I'm just a snob. The cream cheese was...okay. Not a lot of flavour. It could easily be elevated by adding a few fresh scallions!

I will probably go back for their day old or frozen bagels to go since I can't find pumpernickel anywhere. I'd also like to give some of their other flavored cream cheeses a try.

Lastly, we would have liked to sit and eat but we only paid for a few mins of parking. When we mentioned this, the employee directed us to the parking lot across the street. Nice to know.

Overall decent experience. Hope this business...

My first time here! My kids have been raving about the bagels and said I should try it and I have to say, I’m impressed. I love the atmosphere here, conducive for talking on couches with a coffee or sitting on high bar stools at a cute wooden table.

I ordered the Via Italia minus the onions. It was a hit from the first bite. B ordered the Montreal on an everything bagel with jalapeƱo cream cheese. She said her bagel was ā€œBOSS!ā€. (I’m assuming that means the ā€œbestā€).šŸ˜‰

We also had the ice coffee. It hit the spot, with an added shot of espresso for extra energy today.

We got Birthday Cake and Maple Bacon cream cheese to take home. We were able to get a small taste of the flavours we were unfamiliar with before purchasing or putting on our bagel sandwiches to make sure we liked the flavours.

Michael and Madi were stellar ā€œBagel Barristasā€, answering all our questions and offering their expertise on flavour combos.

At the end we were stuffed but still had to get the Apple Pie Bagel with the recommended Birthday Cake cream cheese to go.šŸ˜‹šŸ¤Ŗ

The insane amount of petty reviews left on this business is astounding. they didn't have my cream cheese they were sold out... Unbelievable. For a brand new business I can't praise them enough, I've been to the establishment numerous times or my wife has. Never once a bad experience, if your bagel isn't ready maybe try something new? Or if your cream cheese isn't ready try something else? Some of the most entitled 3 star reviews I've ever read. If your order isn't perfect maybe contacting the establishment and seeing what they can do for you before leaving a bad review would further correcting and helping the business grow. From one small business owner to another Boss Bagels is doing great. Thank you for the amazing service each and every time we've been to your establishment. Always with the strongest SCCCHHHMMEAARRR!

Do better...

This place had been on my list to try since it opened. I am utterly disappointed to say the least. The girl with the red hair and 10 berets in her hair making the sandwiches was so miserable. Asking for cucumbers to be placed on my bagel seemed to annoy her. She said we would check but proceeded to make the sandwich without telling me they did not have cucumbers. Fine. When she was finished making me the 2 bagels I ordered she couldn’t be bothered to place them in a bag (I annoyed her by asking her to place them in a bag and couldn’t be bothered with giving me 2 napkins. ) $24 spent on 2 sloppily made bagels is enough for me to never return. Ordered one Montreal bagel that had meat on one side of the bagel and drenched in sauced by the time I made it home it was soggy and my blt bagel that had a smear of cream cheese and was so dry I almost choked on it.

Heard lots of great things about this place so I had to give it a try. I ordered the Windsor Lox with Jalapeno Cheddar Bagel and Roasted Garlic Cream Chess. It was absolutely amazing šŸ˜. They do not skimp on any filling and have a good amount of smoked salmon and cream cheese. The bagels had real jalapenos on them not like the small bits when tims had the jalapeno bagel. Price came to around $18 with tax so not a cheap everyday meal but once in a while you can treat yourself to a great bagel. The indoor seating area is cold because of the large garage door. If they can probably insulate that, the seat in dining would be a nice experience.
