I brought my brother here who was visiting out of town. We ordered the cheddar bacon mushroom melt and the danish blue. I got fries and he substituted his fries for the house salad for an extra $2. We shared everything. The cheddar bacon mushroom melt was absolutely delicious highly recommend. I wasn’t a huge fan of the French baguette that the danish blue came on, I think it may have been better on a softer bun like a brioche bun. The sweetness of the brioche bun may have better complimented the savouriness of blue cheese. The house salad, I honestly don’t feel that it was worth the $2 upgrade, but they may of had to price it this way due to a head of lettuce costing $50 at the grocery store these days. I would just stick with the fries. Our server was very nice and attentive. And the atmosphere of the restaurant was eclectically industrial. It kept our attention looking at all the different decorations while we waiting for our food.

On yelp this place has a 2.5 stars. Tragedy. This place mad eme feel things I haven’t felt in a long time. The famous lemonade-tangy, delicious. The portions- ginormous. The service from Sarah- fast and funny we are best friends now I think we will hangout at the mall later. I love this place, im a baller and ive never left an establishment feeling more ready to play a game of basketball. Just look at this you could feed a whole team. Bring your friends, families, coworkers. Bring them all. UPDATE: 4 months later, we saw our bestie Sarah again, I’m not even lying if I could my moniter and play Fortnite here I would. I came here today wanting to be knocked out cause I’m tired and overworked but this lemonade brings somthing alive in my. Bring your whole class in #uwindsorproud. We made it to playoffs btw, and we got divorced. They gave us both 1 cause they understand who on top. We’re him.

Welp. Something changed at Gilligan's Walker road. (Not for the good) Picked up some takeout items to eat at home. How dissapointing. The pickle spears were burnt, the onion soup mix was barely warm with un melted cheese on top. After we transfered it to a bowl the cheese started to melt in. More importantly the onion soup looked like they hadn't added the water to the soup. It was black and disgusting (see pictures). Our guess is we were given the pre-prep uncooked concentrate. Onion soup is not supposed to have the consistency of burnt gravy. The coleslaw in my main was in a bag...a bag...lazy. Will probably choose elsewhere from now on. My recommendation would be to check the quality of your items before leaving the restaurant. D-

The stars are for the waitress: friendly and attentive. (A waitress should always know the menu and have tasted all the dishes, recently)

I so want to give a great review. Word of mouth (2022-23) was "Gilligan's has great breakfast". Sadly, I went there for supper. Huge menu, this could be the problem for many Windsor local restaurants. Try to stick with what your good at and we will come CONSISTENTLY. The menu literally has EVERYTHING on it. Halibut dinner: It was liquidy/not oily when I pressed my fork into it yet slightly tough. I don't mind oil in fried fish. I didn't taste a pinch of salt, pepper or seasoning in the batter nor the fish. 2 medium sized peices which was fine, but honestly it didn't taste really fresh.

Fries: There were enough fries on my plate for my entire table, party of 4. They tasted dried out, however, they were salted/seasoned correctly.

Coleslaw: too zingy, not the right mix of mayo and / or vinegar. Basic. I guess this flavour is to each his own.

We did not purchase alcohol.

I'm so sorry. If I go back, I will try a burger meal or the breakfast, that might be more fresh tasting and leave a review. I visited in June 2023

I would scale down the menu to what you make best and read the reviews. We will come.

Sometimes when you come to the table and say: Is everything ok?" We are shy to disappoint and don't want to send it back.

Atmosphere: Large Pub Bar Style Maintained ok but looking dated and dusty in some areas. However, if your food is "on point" this does not matter.

Visually interesting venue, excellent service. We didn't have to wait to be seated or to order. Our entire table got our food in a timely manner, which is something I am not accustomed to in my city, and very much appreciated not having to starve to death before receiving our meals. Staff was very attentive and yet non-intrusive at the same time. They've definitely got this down to an art. We didn't have to wait forever for our bills either. The food was AMAZING!! Good quality food... The spinach dip was very tasty, and seemed to have it's own unique flavourful twist. The chicken was tender and juicy, not rubbery or any gross parts like most restaurants seem to do nowadays. The produce looked fresh, the dill sauce was delicious, the portion sizes were wonderfully generous, and the prices were extremely reasonable! They also understand gluten intolerance and even have some GF desserts, which I opted to skip as I was already all filled up on the amazing meal I'd just eaten. I highly recommend this restaurant to anybody who finds themselves in...

Once again a great experience for me and my wife. Friday at 5:30 was a busy time. I arrived before my bride. Greeted at the door, asked how many guests and where we wanted to sit. I said a booth which were all taken but the eagle eyed server said that a couple were just about to leave. Waited 2 minutes max for the folks to clear out and the table and seats to be wiped off. Sat down and was asked what I wanted to drink. Ordered for myself cuz wasn't sure if my wife wanted a wine or Caesar. Beer was there in less than a minute. Several servers walked by me waiting on other tables but all said hi. Wife arrives and gets her wine quickly. We both had burgers done to perfection. Too many fries on the plate cuz with the size of the burgers we certainly can't eat them all. We were asked 4 times by different servers if everything was fine. Great experience and we will be back. The place was packed but it appeared to us that the 5 servers kept all customers happy. Thanks to Jenna and her...
