Golden Oven European Bakery — Restaurant in Ontario

I don't want to give it any stars since I never tasted any of their goods. I was excited to try a new bakery in our neighbourhood. I stopped in last Friday to see if they offered dessert trays. The lady at the counter told me they did and asked me what I was looking for. I didn't know specifically what I wanted, just that I wanted an assortment of desserts. She pulled out her phone and she showed me a couple of trays that she had prepared. She went into the back and pulled out a tray she had prepared for another customer. I told her I wanted to order a tray. She pulled out her little brown book and asked me when I would need and I told her I would need it for Thurs the 28th and I would pick it up late in the afternoon. I left the type of desserts up to her. She told me the price and wrote down my information. I asked her if she needed anything else from me and she said no, I can pay when I come in to pick it up. Imagine the disappointment on my face when I stopped there this afternoon and was told they didn't have my order. They offered their apologies. Thankfully my event was canceled and I no longer needed the tray. It will be interesting to see if they ever find my order and if they have the wrong date. I hope they don't ask me...

This bakery has completely won my heart. The service is not just friendly; it's the kind of warm welcome that makes you feel like family from the moment you step in. EVERYTHING (and I mean everything) is phenomenal. The quality, taste and presentations of the pastries and the fresh baked bread makes you feel like you travelled across the world.

I only discovered them last week and have been in three times already. I will never buy bread from the grocery store ever again.

Their cannolis are the best I've ever had and I've been around the cannoli block, if you know what I'm saying.

Their specialty croissants are TO DIE FOR!! Thus far, I've had their strawberry, lemon meringue, chocolate, pistachio and regular croissants. All 10/10. My favourite has to be the strawberry. Listen, I'm not an icing girl. This strawberry icing/filling is so heavenly.... I could honestly eat it out of a tub.

Not only as their baked good out of this world, the baker and staff are so amazing. They make you feel welcome everytime you go in. They truly take pride in their work and it shows.
