IVANOPOBLANO — Restaurant in Ontario

After being curious about this restaurant for a while, I finally made a stop in for Friday lunch and have to say it was one of the most enjoyable and memorable experiences at any restaurant I've been to in London. In summary, it was just LOVELY - from the moment I walked in the door I felt CARED FOR. Christopher and Ivano are so warm and welcoming and attentive - the passion they have for the food, ambiance and their guests' enjoyment is immediately noticeable, without being uncomfortable. The restaurant is a perfect size - cozy and classy without being pretentious or too fancy. The way I described the owners' welcome is exactly how the ambiance of the restaurant itself fits. I had two taco quesadillas which gave me an opportunity to sample two different fillings... I'll be back to try more options in the future. Both were delicious, and I got the house spicing level, which was around medium, and it wasn't too spicy at all... very flavourful. The food was such good value - delicious and not too expensive. I also went with the recommended drink - strawberry agua fresca, which complemented my meal perfectly. An added touch to the experience was Christopher's "happy lunch" Spotify playlist that was playing as I enjoyed my meal. I could listen to that music for hours, and Christopher kindly shared the link so I can listen at home and in the car - it reminds me constantly of this wonderful experience. I only wish I had started coming here earlier! I am a huge fan now! I look forward to trying...

Where to begin on the loveliest experience I've had in years, (including pre covid). The owners are fantastic!! So welcoming, so warm, and you can tell truly care about what they do and serve! I went with my husband, and in typical fashion, we try more items then we can eat lol, so we can truly evaluate AND enjoy the menu. I should also mention, this place is Made for ANY kind of diet! Keto, no prob, veggie or gluten free, taken care of! We don't have those preferences, but I have many loved ones that do, and took notice to later gush to them about it. Essentially you can choose your base, your filling, protein, etc. And they make it easy!

Now for our food (we shared everything): We had the bean dip with toasted tortilla and 3 quesadillas of different types. All amazing!!! But I have to say, I have never ever had refried beans or bean dip as yummy as this! And sadly, it's the one picture I didn't take :(. For our main: 2 tacos with chips and salsa for the side, and the tortivano with salad. Oh my! More deliciousness. But the fave was the tortivano! You can taste the fresh ingredients and quality! I swear! Lol mmmm the avocado and for some reason, the mushrooms in the tortivano! I dont usually love mushrooms unless fresh and cooked properly, and these were superb! Anyways, I can't remember the last time I left a place without even a slight improvement in my head, lol. But not Ivano's. It was a 10, 5 stars, exceeds expectations...😆 This is a local gem that takes...

Our new favorite place to eat! I can't remember the last time I enjoyed a meal this much. Every single thing we ate was clearly made with love and passion. The ingredients were chosen for their freshness, regardless of cost. The chef/owners were so gracious, warm, thoughtful and honestly restored our faith in humanity after a long 2 years of hibernating during covid. The agua fresca with tequila was possibly the best thing we've ever drank. We both had the 3 different vegan tacos and can't honestly choose a favorite. The bread pudding of the day (carrot, pineapple and chocolate) was delicious, satisfying and somehow left us feeling light and energetic. We're vegan but really respected the thoughtfulness of including the ethically-sourced local meat the menu includes. You won't find refined or processed foods here. The décor is fantastic too. From the tremendous amount of natural light that pours into the kitchen (who wouldn't cook with love when basking in the sunlight?), to the clever century old glass table partitions they created, to the stylish mosaic tile walls, the restaurant has great energy and character. I cannot say a bad thing other than we should have gone sooner :) We will be back often and be taking our friends and family...
