As well-travelled as we may be, there really are some experiences that seem like we haven't encountered before. We ordered Kingston Iranian Food with moderate expectations and were left with a disappointing, discouraging mess. The Chicken Kabab smelt of egg, the Barg kabab was certainly old, the Fesirjan was just begging for zest and flavor. The Badamjan was nutty and smooth, the Lamb Shank was well cooked and the Hummus tasted storemade which was nice to see. Perhaps what was more shocking than the Iranian items were the Angus burgers, which were not "Angus" in the slightest; they were seemingly outsourced to Double Double which uses commercialized meat product that's no more meat than it is fairydust. Though we felt robbed of even a decent food experience with Kingston Iranian and don't fancy Iranian food very often, we felt the people of Kingston are the ones truly being robbed of a true Iranian food offering.

Stopped in Kingston on our way home from Toronto to Ottawa and we’re looking for some Persian kabob. My dad and I shared the KIF Kabob plate (portions were very generous) and 2 slices of bbq chicken pizza along with some masto khiyar. Everything was amazing! Kabob koobideh was delicious and I don’t say that lightly as someone who only likes my dad’s. The barg kabob was tender and juicy and the chicken as well. Rice was perfect and served with some butter and sumac and the mast was delicious as well. Overall, we really enjoyed our food and will definitely come back. The host was very sweet and we were lucky to be there at a relatively slow time so we had no wait at all. It is located inside a pizza place so it was a bit confusing to find from the parking plaza but if you look for double double pizza you’ll find it!

The rice and presentation were decent, and I appreciated the option to try traditional Persian dishes in Kingston. However, I was quite disappointed with the kebab — the texture was very unusual, almost like liver or an organ meat, rather than typical beef or lamb. It didn’t taste or feel like what I expected from a Persian-style koobideh or steak. This raised concerns for me about the quality and type of meat used. If this was a one-off issue, I hope it gets resolved, but it left me unsure about ordering meat dishes here again. Staff were courteous and the food was ready on time, but consistency and meat quality are definitely areas that need attention.

Extremely disgusting restaurant. Not only the restroom and tables were filthy, the food weren’t Iranian. The fact that the owner herself provided the service was the worst aspect. Someone with that attitude should not work in customer service, extremely dissatisfied with her actions the whole time we were at the restaurant. She acted as she didn't want guests to dine at her restaurant. All the customers should be treated equally if they have paid the same amount! If you have preferences… Please indicate them on Google so that only those will visit you to eat your disgusting food. I had lot of Iranians foods before and have always enjoyed it, but this was my worst...
