To start with the food was fantastic I look forward to my meal and it was what I thought it would be. However walking into the building there is rotten wood at the entrance way that is in desperate need of repair it looks very bad when you walk into a restaurant and see this at the start of your visit secondly when I sat down in my bench seat against the wall on the north side of the main restaurant area the seat was broken and the Spackle paint that was on the wall was 2 in higher than what the rail of the back of the seat was that went along the wall which meant that the seat had collapsed in that area. We mentioned it to a male hostess and they stated that they tried to fix it but it didn't work but they still let people sit there. I felt like a kid sitting at a table my arms were almost as high as my shoulders the third very visible thing was although the room was nicely themed the lights used that they wrapped around the pillars had many many burnt out light bulbs and it looked really cheesy. The hostesses were great however we shouldn't have to package our own leftovers when we're paying a very upscale price for our meals in an environment that is suggesting a upper scale experience only to see people dumping plates of food into t i n takeout containers. As well as ourselves it just seemed very lower class experience to what you're paying. What effort does it take to take the plate so into the kitchen area and package though then hand it to the customer instead of having the customer do it all at their table that is very very small in the first place and tightly cramped on the wall. Not exactly happy about my experience but the food was terrific not sure if I'll be back. I seem to remember this restaurant being a very elegant restaurant that you dressed up nice for and you didn't have any negative visuals as you came in and sat and looked around and thought to yourself I thought this was going to be better than this. The couple next to us were upset because they had a dinner that included eight shrimp and they were only given five. I think if you're going to charge good solid money for a superior experience and superior food you need to up your game and providing a experience that is not negative when you first get in and look around and when you're sitting in your seat that's not busted. The final thing was the folded up mats at the front door that can be tripped on. Just saying you need to up your game and have people check this stuff

Loved their Pastas and Drinks. If you’re looking for vegetarian options, it is a great restaurant. (Usually any Italian restaurants in GTA will only have a couple of options for vegetarians like Mushrooms Ravioli or Eggplant Parm, but I was so happy that this wasn’t the case here.) I strongly recommend their Fettuccini Alfredo pasta, it was super rich and creamy. I also loved their Manicotti Pasta filled with spinach and ricotta cheese. Aglio Oilo was also good. Their Virgin Pina Colada drink was a good one, too. However, I won’t recommend the Arugula Salad, it tasted bitter. Their ambience is really lovely with some classic Italian touch in decor and nice music playing in. It felt like a proper dining experience. I also appreciate that they have a distinctive marking on menu for vegetarians. Although, we had a bit of service complaint as our server forgot to bring in the Parmesan cheese, some pepper and extra spoon and we waited for about 10 minutes before we reached out. But, they rectified it quickly and said they were really sorry about it as the restaurant was busy, and we appreciated it and the politeness. Overall, the food was delicious and I’m sure I’m gonna return the next time I’m around Belleville or just want to celebrate a special occasion!

I had high hopes for this Italian restaurant, especially after reading so many positive reviews, but unfortunately, it wasn't worth the money. Our food took an exceptionally long time to arrive, and when we finally asked our server about it, she seemed completely unaware. She promised to check and get back to us but never did. The taste of the food was decent, on par with any standard Italian place, but there was nothing special that made it stand out. The atmosphere was quite dull; we were seated in a back corner where it felt like we were forgotten. To make matters worse, mosquitos were a constant and truly disturbing nuisance throughout our meal, raising serious concerns about the restaurant's hygiene. I definitely would not recommend this place.

Last night (24 Jul 2022) we went to celebrate a birthday. Reservations were for 6pm, we showed up at 5min to 6. We were quickly seated and the restaurant was very busy. When I made the reservation I specifically advised them we needed a high chair, but a high chair was not set up at our table, no big deal. At some point someone brought water to our table. 25 minutes at the table we still had no contact from our waitress. At one point she went by our table and stated she would be with us in a couple of minutes. After I waited and additional 5-10 minutes I walked to the hallway and saw her at another table. I stated to her it had been 30 minutes (We still had not been asked about drinks or greeted by our server). It was easy to see the 2 servers in our area were running like crazy. When she did come to our table she apologized, stating they were short staffed. We ordered our drinks and thought it would be best to order our meals knowing it would be a bigger delay if we waited. Not sure if there were any specials that night as we were not advised by our server. When the drinks arrived I asked if the bread was coming? At the Linguini website, it showed on the online menu the 1st loaf is free and any additional loaf request is $2.00, apparantly this has changed, as I found out when I received my bill. No complimentary bread, so when I ordered 2 additional breads above the initial loaf, as we had a party of 5 aduls and 2 kids, I anticipated a $4 charge. The bread came to $18. Another note worth mentioning, one of the menus at our table showed different prices than all of the other menus, the server stated she would advise the manager. The food has always been very good, and everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meal, however the service seemed very rushed and the server had no time to engage with us. When we ordered a bottle of wine the ice bucket came about 10 minutes later. We have gone to Linguinis many times over the years and never has the service been like this. I understand Covid issues and lack of staff but if this is a high end restaurant, then alternate solutions should be put in place, perhaps capacity limits if the restaurant wants to maintain its level of distinction and service. At one point prior to our meals arriving, a complimentary appetizer was sent to our table with appologies for the delays, an excellent move but no manager visited our table with any explanation. In conclusion, the experience put a damper on...

I used to work at Italian restaurants, serving, for many years so I know my Italian food. I also had an Italian boyfriend for 15 yrs. The bill for my husband and I was just over $200. My plate was penne alla vodka and I added shrimp for $2/pc. The penne alla vodka, which is pasta in a rose sauce with vodka and pancetta (type of thin sliced pork), was, I think $19. Pasta. $19. Wut? I asked for 5 shrimp so my pasta was almost $30 before taxes and tip. It was a loaded plate (probably serves 3) and had way too many herbs and ?? I dunno what in it. It was too confusing. I think simpler would have tasted better. All the things in my sauce added nothing in terms of flavor and I usually advocate for more flavor. My husband had the rack of lamb. I believe it was cooked to the temperature he had ordered. I tried a piece. Nothing to write about there. Lamb is good, pretty much, no matter what. Other than that, we had two desserts, a half bottle of wine and a cocktail. You decide if it's worth 200 before the tip. To me, I thought it was a bit much, considering we whoop it up at a popular steakhouse for that much but... maybe it's just the 25 cents worth of marginally okay pasta for $20 that left me confused. I just think we could have had a better meal and more drinks for the price and overall the food wasn't exceptional. The bathrooms, though clean, is in very bad need of updating. Not fancy restaurant type stuff, when you compare to the dining room and the menu prices (don't mean to drone on about pricing - it just doesn't match). I would not willingly return. I don't think my crowd would have insisted though....
