Food is good . Service is awful. I’d recommend going to the Trenton location or if you do go to the Belleville location request to NOT HAVE “Brianna” as your server .. we went for half price apps. And this a regular thing , and also regular restaurant for most of the people at our table (dine there AT LEAST once a week or more) we ordered quite a lot we ordered two of some items like wings , loaded cheese fries, etc. I order a quesadilla and then my cousin decided he also wanted a quesadilla after he saw mine we also ordered another round of drinks at that time as well and drank them while waiting for the quesadilla .. when it finally came to our table my cousin who drove wasn’t feeling well . And said can we actually have some take out containers and the bills please.. she never brought the bills.. but brought the containers we asked again for the the bills and had to ask for more containers because we had A LOT of food from our group.. when she brought the containers she walked straight up to our table and said I quote “I hope you know I just got bitched at by the kitchen because of you” we had no clue what she was talking about then she proceeds to tell my cousin he’s not allowed to order a quesadilla and then leave .. he tells her he isn’t feeling well and he already ordered/was charged so he’s not gonna leave his food and that our family are regulars here and ALWAYS go for half priced apps and take our left overs and have even ordered food to go in the past she soooo angry and then said “that’s not true you can’t do that and I don’t care I’m getting bitched at for you you could at least pretend to eat it” I chimed in and said why are you being so rude over something so stupid .. you could have just explained nicely why come over and start swearing without even telling us why.. ESPECIALLY RIGHT BEFORE WE WERE ABOUT TO PAY OUR BILLS .. who starts treating people like that before they even get their tip especially on a expensive table.. I asked for a manager because her behaviour was disgusting the manager appears whims me I didn’t even know he worked there when he started talking I thought he was the waitresses boyfriend or something because he was dressed like a teenager in some gangster looking outfit .. and starts defending the waitress while she walks around the bar and starts yelling at us literally from across the restaurant (we were in a booth not on the bar side) .. I ask him who is he ..? He says he’s the manager and I said Okay so you’re going to stand there while your waitress screams and swears across the restaurant. Ultimately we said we need to pay and we’re no longer dealing with that girl and won’t be coming back and he needs to have someone bring the debit/credit machine so we can pay and leave. He brought it over . He knew we were regulars.. and our family is and our family IS HUGE . One of the people at our table literally lives behind Chucks.. didn’t care and didn’t care about the waitress screaming and swearing . All over a $7 quesadilla not getting eaten .. when all the 10 items and like 8 drinks were eaten and drank.. I’ve never seen such ridiculous behaviour over the tiniest thing . And soooooooo disrespectful. If you’re looking for class DEFINITELY do not go here .. the only reason I gave two stars was because the food is usually good and I’m not going to lie especially when that effects the chain as a whole.. Yesterday was Monday we could have went to Piper Arms Pub up the street for $14 pasta and half price apps… and every other day after 9pm they also have $10 apps, .99 jumbo wings, and $4.95 domestic pints.. and their service and restaurant is way classier , a way bigger menu , and impeccable service .. Had the manager apologized for her behaviour and told her not to swear and yell at customers then we could have kept going there and just not had her as a server . Almost forgot she double charged one of us on our receipt as well .. and was VERY mad she had to fix it .. the whole situation was just an embarrassment. She lost a very good tip as well .. because we are all...
Read moreRatings based on server except atmosphere. We arrived around 3:05 to find that only half of the restaurant was open and there was one waitress serving all of the customers on that side of the restaurant by herself. Found out later that she's actually the afternoon supervisor and was managing all of this as best she could give in the fact that it was pretty much full and she was the only one serving. We were sitting close to the door so we could see the people walking in and how they were being addressed. Around 4:00 we saw more wait staff coming in, who were greeting customers and then one guy came in, tall, dark skin wearing a black and white sweater and dark curly hair. He stood facing the inside of the restaurant and the stand that was there and looking at a book where I presume information was being put down by staff. Never once did he turn and look after or address any of the customers coming in the door. He did interact with his telephone quite a bit. One couple came in and he totally ignored them, finally he turned around, saw them and then moved away around the corner until the staff member came and looked after them. Did not address them at all and say someone will be with you shortly or acknowledge them in any fashion. I found that very offensive because at this point I obviously knew he was the management and that is no way to treat your customers. Even if you don't have the wherewithal to seat them, the least you can do is address them and say someone will be with you shortly. When our waitress came to clean off our plates from table, I asked her about this person and found out that yes, he was definitely a manager at which time I asked her to have him come to our table because I wished to speak to him. When he came, I expressed my dissatisfaction with his performance and stated that they obviously had expectations for their employees and as he was a manager, he was held to a higher expectation and the fact that he chose to not address these customers. I found appalling and very disrespectful as without customers he did not have a job. When I finished expressing my dissatisfaction, he said okay you had your turn, now it's mine, really? He immediately went into this. I just came into work and I had to make sure that everyone was in their position and everything was covered so that things were handled. What he did not know was that all of the other five waitresses that had come in were working efficiently and dealing with their jobs with out him even being there. Basically berating me for daring to suggest that he should be doing something different. He said I am so busy at that time because I come in at 4:00 and I have to make sure it's done and I don't have time to speak to anyone. Yet, he was on his telephone, he turned around and looked at them and then walked away so he didn't have to deal with them. Therefore, he was not doing his job anymore as he was nowhere near the book he was looking at. I expressed extreme discussed with that reaction and explanation as well and told him to stop talking as it was irrelevant and he just stood there and at that point I just told him to get away from my table and that he didn't deserve to have his job and I would make sure that I expressed all of my disgust in every fashion I could so that he was no longer employed there. I don't know who he thinks he is but he is not above the rest of his staff in any way. When it relates to his customers. I will not frequent this establishment again and I suggest that others do the same. This man should not be a manager. He should not even be employed in a customer service environment anywhere. The owners of this establishment need to know how badly he is representing them. As far as the food went, we ordered the shrimp tempura which was almost $14 and was overcooked to the point where you couldn't taste the shrimp at all and the tempura which is supposed to be light and fluffy was very crispy and crunchy. The ribs were delicious as was the chicken dinner. The fries were bland and needed extra assistance to make...
Read moreThis is my 2nd time coming here. I don't remember the meal I had the first time, I just know I told my husband we are coming back there again. And so we did this time. We had a good family time together last Saturday. Our meals are amazing! My husband had his T-bone rare, he said it was better this time, it was perfect! Even I tried it and it was amazing! Last time it was medium rare and he isn't picky he doesn't mind it even though he ordered rare on our first dinner there. I told him it's okay, he just doesn't want to say it because they may take his food and he doesn't want it to go to waste. I told him it's okay to tell them the truth and also you don't mind but if he let them know it's not a bad criticism, just a good note to take away for the chef. Anyway, he enjoyed his meal this time around. I had the sizzler plate with roasted vegetables with grilled chicken. It was really good! The best I ever had so far, it made me roast more vegetables for the rest of the week lol. My son had a very delicious grilled cheese with fries. We think they used a sour dough bread but it was perfect to make grilled cheese! The restaurant looks so cozy with lots of screen, as it is a sports bar after all. Our amazing and awesome server Jodie is very friendly. She made every effort to make sure everything is good in our table. I'm not sure if we can request her again next time we go there although, I'm sure all of their servers are approachable. I like how they work together as a team! The dessert of course is incredibly amazing! I will order the cheesecake again the next time I visit. My son and husband enjoyed the pastry pudding with ice cream and glaze on top. It taste delicious! Oh and my Sangria is really good too. Thank you. It was a great experience overall. I would recommend this location to my friends! It is absolutely a go to place for good meal overall. And yes, I told my husband again that we are so coming back here for another dinner next time. Lol Thank you Chuck's RB&G. We had such a good time especially in this time of blizzardful weekend.
