RONALD MCDONALD WOULD BE ASHAMED! I have visited McDonalds restaurants literally all over the world in the past fifty years. I went to McDonalds on Sir John A McDonald Blvd Kingston on September 30 2023 at 2:50 pm. I ordered one standard sandwich and a drink. I paid at the kiosk. Unfortunately my arrival apparently coincided with a staff shift change. There were several perhaps as many as five staff milling about immediately in front of the counter and behind the counter socializing and exchanging hellos and good byes. This distraction continued for ten or more minutes. I know because I was still waiting for my food and my order time was stamped on the receipt. I got my drink after twelve minutes and my sandwich three minutes later. It was a disappointing wait but not worth complaining about in and of itself. As I was leaving the counter, an elderly woman using a walker passed in front of me. She must have been really old if she seemed elderly to me. There was a plastic yellow triangle placard warning patrons the floor was wet. It was in the middle of the foot traffic lane. The floor was dry. As the elderly woman passed by the placard, she bumped it with her walker and it fell over. The apparent manager ( his name may have been Arun or similar) rushed out from behind the counter and immediately began chastising the old woman for knocking over the placard. She apologized and explained she was not able to bend over to pick it up. Undaunted your Manager told her loudly “we don’t act that way here” and then he moved the folded placard out of the traffic lane setting it out of the way. The woman did not kick it over deliberately and even if she had, the Manager should not have spoken to her so harshly and with such disdain. The Manager’s time would be better spent clearing out his loitering staff and supervising the current order preparation and service. By the way, the chicken sandwich was tasteless mediocre at best. The drink was good. Finally when I was leaving the restaurant in my car I was cut off in the parking lot by a SUV driving out of any lane and across the parking spaces. I recognized the driver as one of the employees who had been loitering inside. I realize you are not responsible for outside driver’s etiquette, but the shabby disrespectful treatment the old woman received from your Manager was disgraceful and it should be an embarrassment to...
Read moreWhy can't this location (Kingston center in Kingston stone ontario) and company give me my food the way I ask for it?... (not like its cheap anymore and i can just throw it out and go to wendys wothout being upset anymore) Seriously, if I don't want a mcdouble with ketchup, mustard and pickle, I should get a burger without that garbage. Or 4 yrsI've been going there and only 3 times have they got it right on the first shot. My choices are to drive away and eat that condiment covered crap or wait while they correct it. No one wants to correct for fear of an angry cook that may spit on it after being reprimanded for not reading the order or putting the order in right. The assistant manager was OK and offered me coupons but I have had it with this company and will just go to Wendy's from now on. Don't mess with a person's hunger, especially the ones that go to a fast food shit hole in desperation bcuz they're hungry enough to eat McDonald's. Location is Kingston center in Kingston Ontario, but all McDonald's here have gotten my order wrong more than not.
One yr later... I went to get a mcdouble with no ketchup or mustard and I got so much extra ketchup that it was all over the outside of the bun... worst location I've ever been to and I think east indians own it for it...
Read moreStopped to grab a quick dinner for the kids in between after school activities since there wasn't time to go home. This was my first time at this location and after ordering 2 Happy Meals from the self serve kiosk we grabbed a table service stand and took a seat like we have always done at other locations. After 10 minutes and multiple groups of people through and being served, I finally had to go up to the counter, where I was ignored for an additional 2-3 minutes, then finally showed them my receipt and asked if they had actually received our order since I didn't see it on the board. The girl was largely unfazed by this, making it sound like they were just busy (it was not particularly) and suddenly they were putting together our order which I noticed was right there on their screen in back and clearly just being ignored the entire time. She offered me a free muffin for the wait (I declined as there are few items my family can eat on the menu as is) and I can see by other reviews that this is pretty common for this location, so will choose another one in the future. It shouldn't take nearly 20 minutes to get two basic kid's meals and I shouldn't have had to go up and ask them to make our order. Can't imagine how long we would have waited had I not gone up to...
